If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be walking, I'd still be bent over like an accordion. The staff are excellent. The environment is very nice. I'll be using him until he goes out of business or dies. He's good.

+ -1 moreI can't begin to tell you how many other contractors I wasted nearly 2 months trying to arrange for this to be done. So many won't even return your call. Mr. Smith was super prompt and reasonable and superior quality workmanship. And if you are considering having a room or other additions added on to your existing home, quite often a manufactured addition may be the most affordable way to go. Thank you Mr. Smith for your prompt and able workmanship.
Description of Work: In the process of setting up a reverse mortgage on our manufactured home and propery we had to complete the permanent foundation requirements to meet HUD standards. Our home already sat on a concrete slab foundation but that now needed to be what they call tied down and secured to that foundation as per HUD FHA requirements. You would think in this economy that many contractors would jump at the availablility of any kind of work at all. While not a very big job, for us it was absolutely necessary if we wanted to get this work completed. Numerous other contractors simply never returned calls. Then others wanted to hem and haw. Mr. Smith promptly returned calls and then got the work done reasonably and in a flash. Whether you are looking for work that needs to be done on your mobile or manufactured home or if you are considering buying such a home and live in western NY or Pennsylvania, the Finger Lakes or the Twin Tiers of those states, I would not hesitate to give Shawn and Owl Homes a call. Additionally, these manufactured homes are made in the USA!! Put Americans to work!! He purchased the tie down parts needed and then installed them exceeding HUD and FHA requirements for wind mitigation.
