We hired Charles Schwartz from environmental assessments & solutions a few different times for mold and asbestos assessments. Charles was very thorough and did an excellent job each time we hired him. Charles was very patient answering our questions and addressing our concerns. He was easy to get in touch with when we had additional questions.

I contacted Charles on Friday night and he came to my house at 10 am the following morning. He inspected not only my basement but my attic and the exterior grounds of my property as well. He had several suggestions for improving my gutter drainage and regrading the soil around my foundation, as in addition to addressing interior moisture by installing a basement sub slab drainage system. He also explained that NY state has strict laws regarding mold inspection and remediation compared to NJ, which has no regulation. As a result, I will be looking for licensed mold remediators in NY state. HIs fee is quite reasonable given his thorough inspection; you may or may not want air quality testing, which is much more expensive. Charles has a wealth of knowledge and experience and I would recommend his services to anyone without hesitation.

We called Mr. Schwartz on Tuesday, July 30th to set up an appointment to have the air quality of our house inspected. Charles came at 4 p.m. that afternoon, right on time. He spent two hours testing the air and doing a mold assessment. He also took the time to explain everything he was doing and why. He is exceptionally knowledgable and personable. It is like having a good trusted friend dropping by to help you. We had a report the next day and solutions for our problems. Charles was very professional and helpful. I had a lot of issues in my basement and he helped walk me through each step of they way. He was able to accommodate my project at the last minute and stayed with me through completion. He worked very well with the companies I had hired to do the actual mold and asbestos removal, and was helpful to recommend a waterproofing company. He also assisted me in knowing exactly what I needed to fix all my basement issues. I appreciate his help so much and would gladly recommend him.

Charles was the consummate professional. He responded within 30 minutes and conducted the on site inspection same day. After receiving the results of the lab analysis, he completed his report and emailed it to me within 24 hours. Charles came the day we called him and inspected our air conditioning equipment and our vents. He took 3 air samples and a stain sample. We received a detailed report on the types and quantities of mold found and the name of a company who could eliminate the mold. The service was fairly expensive. Charles informed us of what each sample would cost when we initially called him...so we understood that cost when we hired him. What we were not told was that there would be an extra $100 charge to expedite the shipping of the lab samples. We were told that we would get the results within two days. Unfortunately, the results weren't sent back to us for a week...and that only happened when we called to find out why we hadn't heard anything.

Environmental Assessments and Solutions did a fantastic job of mold testing. Charles Schwartz was very knowledgeable and professional. He not only did a great job, but was extremely helpful to us in dealing with the remediation company, who did not perform well. He was available even on evenings and weekends. I would not hire anyone else for mold testing.

Charles was very responsive, knowledgable and clearly has a high level of expertise regarding indoor air quality.
