All Season Tree Service

Gary DeRocher came on October 14, 2009 and gave us an estimate of $950 for taking down and removing the debris for a large tree hanging over our house as well as a few very small trees. He said that he and his crew would be back the next day to do the job. They came and took down the small trees and part of the large tree. They left all of the debris in the driveway. Gary said that he would be back the next day to finish the job. I (stupidly) trusted his word and paid him $850 of the $950 price. That was almost a month ago. Close to half of the big tree is still standing. If my 69-year-old husband and I had not taken two days to remove the debris from the trees from our driveway, it would still be there. Gary always has an excuse why he hasn't been back to finish the job, and I have lost track of the number of times he said "I'll be there tomorrow." or "I'll call you back tomorrow." but never does. Currently, it is 9 days since Gary has returned any of my calls, a week since the last time he said that they would be here to finish the job, and a day short of a month since we paid him $850 for a job that he never completed. When this guy says "I'll take it down to there and take everything away. You won't have to worry about a thing.", DON"T believe him. And DON"T pay him before the job is finished. He'll take your money and you won't see him again.
