RAY IS A VERY PROFESSIONAL AND NICE GUY. HE CAME UP WITH SOME GREAT IDEAS ON MY REMODELING PROJECT. I DONT KNOW HOW COMPARABLE HIS PRICING IS BECAUSE HE WAS THE ONLY QUOTE I GOT. AFTER ONE MEETING WITH HIM I KNEW I WANTED TO WORK WITH HIM.

: Ray was very helpful in realizing our dream extensions. Our project included building a two story additions. A new family room and a new master bedroom including master bathroom. All other architects were out of our price range. We were glad to find Ray because we could afford him. He didn't use a computer rendering of what our project would look like so we were limited to reading the blueprints. At first Ray made blueprints of the new extension with a 3 foot offset from the property line because it was against the ordinance to build new structures less than 6 ft. We had an existing exterior wall 3 feet from the property line. This is where I made a mistake to not question Ray. Ray's advice was to stay away from filing for variances. I let him continue with writing up the blueprints. I submitted the plans to the building department for approvals. It took months and while I was waiting, I called the town and asked them about the 3 foot offset. Remember, I had a existing pre-ordinance wall already there. Why couldn't I just extend that wall ? They said to me "that's a question your architect should be asking us". They wouldn't answer my question so I had to call Ray to calol them to get an answer. This delayed getting the permits another month. When he finally got the answer, it was "yes" we could just extend the existing wall without filing a variance. Ray had to draw up new plans and resubmit the plans and then the town rejected his plans. This was extremely frustration to us because it had nothing to do with the extension. It was about minor details. So that took another month. Again, Ray had to resubmit plans. Through all this Ray was very gracious and apologized to us but it wasn't all his fault. Overall he is a good architect but you have to question him more. If you're not happy with his plans, he will do whatever possible to satisfy you.
