called same day oil was delivered, said will call back later or Tuesday. No call, so I called Wednesday. I asked about what did I pay per a gallon of oil? She told me that it shouldn't be my concern because it wasn't my money. ( The money was from social services). I said " It is my concern because I want to know what the price per gallon was and what the balance I have left for a future delivery. ( actually it wasn't any of her concern where the money came from.) She then said she would have to get back to me? I said will it be today? She said either today or Friday. I said ok....Friday. Well by 3:45 Friday I called and got the answering service. They took my name, address, phone #. And I said it's about the price per of oil. Lets see if they call tomorrow.

Love this company! Have had Alcus instal our new old burner and water heater and serviced for 2 years. Everyone is courteous, and they are responsive. Juan is excellent and very talented at his job - thank you!

Arrived early, removed old system, installed entire new system. Neat and clean especially for an old burner (40 years) removal. Couple smudges, wiped down. Hey, this is an oily sooty messy job but done well.

Entire crew took their time to make the installation correct, visually and mechanically. All plumbing done cleanly and organized.

Most people would not really care I surmise, but the system should be done with organized and efficient piping and materials. All copper or cast connectors as needed. Owner stayed until 9 30 pm to make sure everything was working right.

There was unfortunately a defective ball valve the day after that was discovered about 2 pm. I did see the water leaking through the seams of the ball valve, not the sweat joints. Just bad luck.

The response was perfect, arrived at about 430 pm, service tech diagnosed, replaced valve and bled system. Owner followed to test and insure as a back up everything was good.

He tested system with meter to fine tune. He even left at 730 returning at 830 with a replacement cable for his meter because the efficiency reading did not work on the first cable. This could have waited but he wanted to make sure everything was right.

To finalize this, as I was typing this review at 930 am the next day, the phone rings.......and it was an Alcus representative calling to inquire whether everything was OK. Do I really need to say more?

Update it turned out about a month later one fitting turned out to be defective small leak they came on the saturday morning before memorial day one hour after i called at 9 am to check it was ok to last a few days they scheduled tough location repair at my convenience handled professionally carefully and replaced another cast fitting ss precaution since it was off anyway 3 hours done purged retested perfect this company is top notch and also called me at 8 am to tell me they were in route

Last year I had used this company when my hot water heater broke, I gave them a great review. so this year of course I called them back when I started to have problems. the girl who answered the phone was condescending and nasty. I explained to her it wasn't an emergency but I would need someone to come and service my water heater, it was switching off and I was running out of hot water. she went into a tirade about how if my pipes are frozen I would still have to pay the service fee, ( which I agreed to) then she asked where I purchased my oil from, I told her, and she stated that unless I purchase oil from them they would not service my oil burner or water heater. last year this was never an issue. on their Angies list page it does not state that you have to buy oil from them. I feel this is very deceptive. so stay away there are plenty of other heating repair companies out there.

i awoke to no heat on a 20 degree day,after calling someone i had used before and received no return phone call, i checked Angies list and found Alcus. The woman who answered the phone was very nice and professional. and though i did not expect it, she said someone will be out that same morning. The serviceman "Juan" arrived about 1 hour later, replaced the bad part, and for a very reasonable price serviced our boiler. The heat was up in no time. this service was great from start to finish.

They are prompt, courteous, and reliable. Over the years we have had a few oil companies and they are the best so far.
