Taylor was promptly per schedule, answered any and all questions while he was working ( very communicative) completed the work in a timely basis, cleaned area as he worked, tested all parts to insure they functioned properly in my presence. i wrote a review early - i was pleased with the work for which he was hired. He was professional and accommodating. HOWEVER, I have texted him TWICE to do another job. Both times he texted back and said he would contact me later in the day and BOTH times, I never heard from him again. A bit unprofessional. If you dont want to do the work, or work with the people, then say so, dont blow them off.

Sewer Main Clearing
I needed a heavy duty sewer pipe cleaning. They came the next day (earlier than scheduled, after checking I was home) with two guys and the heavy duty equipment they needed. Finished the job within the hour. Cost about half of what the other guys charge (no coupon needed) and about twice the cost of renting the equipment myself. Happy customer.

The gentlemen from Pipeworx by Minx were at our home 2 days - Tuesday 4/24 and Thursday 4/26. They re-routed gas lines for our gas stove and gas fireplaces, moved our dishwasher, installed a sink drain flange, installed the sink and counters, and a new faucet. This was all part of a kitchen renovation we have been waiting 30 years to do. They were very professional and friendly. The work was excellent and the price very reasonable. We will be contacting them for some more projects we have planned in the near future. I also appreciated the prompt communications when scheduling needed changing. We are extremely happy and would highly recommend Pipeworx by Minx to anyone needing plumbing work.

Charged DOUBLE the estimate. DOUBLE!!! To be completely fair, he was timely, professional, and did a very good job. But on the phone he said, at the most, $100 for materials and $300 for labor. Then when he came to the site, he said the same thing - even saying it would be max $500 if he ended up having to do some extra work (that he didn't end up needing to do). Final bill? $762!! Like I said before, he did a good job. I might even consider using him again. But next time I would get the estimate in writing.

"Hi Devon, I'm sorry if there was a misunderstanding. For labor we gave a verbal estimate of $400-500 dependent on if the extra work needed to be done, which it didn't, so the labor was charged at $400. The extra cost incurred was for the materials. Originally, it was estimated that the material would cost around $100, but when we purchased all the materials, it actually was much more than that. When you called last week, to discuss the bill, Taylor explained this is where the main cost came from. We hope that we can do work for you again, and we would be happy to come out and give a free estimate for any future work, which would detail the work, materials, labor, service call, and tax charges in written format. We didn't come out to give an estimate for this specific job because you scheduled an instant booking to have the work done. Our written estimates state, it is an estimate only, not a contract. The estimate is for the job mentioned, based on our evaluation. It does not include unforeseen price increases or additional labor and materials which may arise. I'm very sorry that the materials were more than what we estimated them to be, if there is anything we can do to remedy this please give me a call at 716-310-3537. Worked with me on price after parts for an old shower control valve blew the top off prior estimate. Good communication and solid work. Tough project, saved me grief of tearing open a wall by finding a replacement part others said I could not get, although the price for the rare part was astronomical, the project finished slightly over but near budget because they took less for their time. Good work, nice people, fair price, I would hire again, no doubt.
