It did not go well at all.
We had been using this clinic for our animals since the early 1980's. Dr. Killewald was always kind, knowledgeable and efficient. However I believe that he is not practicing as he had in the past and the two Vets that are now in charge did not impress us in the least.
Our 10 year old Golden Retriever was having difficulty urinating and we were told that this was probably being caused by an enlarged prostate and if we had his testicles removed the prostate would be reduced due to the lack of testosterone production. We followed their advice and proceeded with the castration. Prior to this there were a battery of tests that our dog had undergone which we thought was the reason for the diagnosis. As it turned out this was not the issue.
After several weeks of our dog being in discomfort they recommended us to another Veterinary Hospital which had correctly diagnosed him with cancer of the urinary tract.
Two things occurred during this experience that we were not happy with. First of all the dog went through several weeks of unnecessary suffering. Secondly because of the initial incorrect diagnosis, the costs between the two clinics eventually exceeded $4,000.00.
I don't like to write bad reviews, but that is our story, sad but true.

Killewald is great. Our family has gone there for over 15 years. When you see all the free and reduced cost vaccination clinics at pet stores and the SPCA, I always feel like I'm overpaying, but I'd rather have a vet who gives my dog a thorough going over and knows her "baseline" for when she's not feeling well, which Killewald does. They have gotten us in for an emergency visit when the dog ate chocolate, too and took great care of her. Recommend!

I think that there are 3 vets there. I've been going there since 1979 or 1980 so it's been a long time for all my animals over the years. They are always gotten back to me, they have always been concerned. They have fairly good hours. I've used them for a long time. Some of my animals have had various problems and they've always been really good. We've moved and we drive about a half hour to get there now. There's lots of vets around here but I just always liked them and the people that work for them. I've always had good service there, if they didn't know what was going on they would always refer me to someone else that could help me.

The service is great.  Any problems or questions I had were taken care of, and I feel as though they give you personal attention.  They know your name and your dog's name when you walk in, even if you don't have an appointment. 

I spent $ 60 on that last visit and it went very well. I took my first dog there because they were recommended to me and they have never given me a reason to switch. It has always been good. They know me and treat me like family and they know my dog and know how they act.
