I expected to leave the lamp and wait a week or so for it to be repaired. Instead, they repaired the lamp right then and there! It took a total of 5 minutes. The guys there were friendly and good humored. The price was entirely for the part...no charge for the effort. I will return there any time I have a lighting problem!

My wife's favorite craft lamp was broken (base detached from shaft) in our move to the Albany area. The repair estimate and final cost were the same, although they had to do more work (installing a new connecting rod) than they had thought would be necessary. I would definitely use them again, if similar problems with other fixtures develop.

This was a happy experience. As soon as I explained what I needed, the repair was done immediately (no charge) enabling us to see and try various shade sizes and shapes on the lamp to get an idea of what would be best. There were several shades to choose from and we were able to choose one quickly. Finally, I saw solid brass finials on display and chose one I'd seen online which actually cost less than the online price. We left the shop with a working lamp in less than an hour.

I had two antique marble and metal lamps totally refurbished by the professionals at The Lighting Place. The staff was very helpful, polite, and the workmanship was first rate. I am extremely detail-oriented and just plain picky, my expectations were exceeded on every level. The price was more than fair, and I was told in advance what the approximate cost would be. The final price was actually a bit less than the estimate. I also brought a run of the mill lamp to have it repaired, the level of workmanship was equally high for this work, which amounted to a much lesser, but equally fair charge. The shop primarily sells lighting and their selection is of a high quality. The prices are not inexpensive, but the quality and variety are impressive. The very polite staff's professionalism extended to even carrying the heavy lamps in and out if my car. I look forward to bringing future work to this establishment.
