My son had fevers almost every other week during the flu season and usually these fevers would go away after 2-3 days. This time around my son was getting very high fevers [>105F], so the Doctor called us to her office immediately and made sure that she opened up an appointment time slot for us. Examined my son and upon finding that he did not seem to have an ear infection she told us that "I will treat him, but first I want to find out exactly what is wrong". She prescribed a blood test and x-ray and kept following up with us via phone all the time. My son ultimately was in the hospital [Albany Med] for 3 days and in the end it turned out to be a viral fever that got him pretty bad. We liked the way Dr. Pinapati was patient and reasonable with us during this time when we were tense. She seemed to be genuinely care about the condition of our child and kept following up with the hospital.
