Jim was extraordinarily professional and knowledgeable. 
My wife and I were first time home buyers, and Jim took the time to describe every aspect of the home to us and answered any questions that we had. He has a wealth of knowledge, and had a few good stories to tell as well. The inspection was very thorough, taking almost four hours. When the inspection was complete, Jim quickly provided us with an extensive (24 page) report on the condition of the home. Jim's work did not end there, however.
Unfortunately, Jim's inspection revealed a few major concerns with the home. After we had specialists come to look at the issues (electrician and a roofer), we emailed Jim their write-ups and he freely offered further insight into the issues and his thoughts on what should be done. We were able to use Jim's knowledge to get a credit for some of the needed repairs, but more importantly he gave us full confidence that we wouldn't get hit with any costly surprises once we moved into the home. 
I would recommend Jim Gibb without reservation.

Home inspection for the purchase of our second home. Jim significantly surpassed my expectations. Jim was clearly very knowledgable, and was more than happy to talk me through everything he was looking at (I am an engineer by trade so I was asking a lot of questions). The inspection took about 3 hours and there was no down time between areas of the house. I am extremely confident in the house we are purchasing thanks to Jim, he pointed out a few things that should be done, but assured us that none of them were major issues. I would absolutely use Jim again (though I am hoping not to have to move again any time soon).

Jim Gibb was extremely thorough and professional. As first time home buyers we know very little about the different aspects of a home. Jim was exceptionally knowledgeable and informative, explaining every little detail. He was willing to answer any quesitons we had. The inspection write-up was 19 pages outlining everything he had showed and discussed with us. We will surely use this as a reference for years to come. We would recommend Jim to anyone needing an inspection, particularly first time home buyers.

He was very helpful and he found a defect in a brand new home. We had the repair done and he potentially saved us a lot of money.
