NORMANSKILL CABINETS

A We had contracted our new kitchen through John Lis and Normanskill Custom
Cabinetry. What we thought would be a beautiful new kitchen turned into a
nightmare. John Lis "claimed" to be a professional kitchen designer. He
came to our home and took measurements and was given a sample cabinet
door with the color we chose. He provided us with a kitchen layout.
Unfortunately, we chose his company! Thats when the nightmare began! It
all started with cabinets that did not match the color we chose. After 3
color changes our cabinets looked like a child painted them. During
these color changes he spray painted our brand new hardwood floors! That
was just the beginning, the cabinets were defective, the kitchen layout
he designed did not fit in our space. We lost many cabinets inc. a
pantry, lazy susan, base and wall cabinets! When asked for a price
adjustment he stated "I made the cabinets, you own them, do what you want with them". After
damaging our personal property (hardwood floors, walls, electrical
changes) and his arrogance to rectify any of the issues, we had
to contract a "real" cabinet maker and custom kitchen designer to reconfigure the kitchen
layout, refinish the cabinets and repair our damaged property! We
paid John Lis and Normanskill Cabinetry a large sum of money and he
refused to rectify any of our issues. As a result, our kitchen turned out to be very
costly, both in money and time! He took our money and we had to pay twice the amount to fix the mess he left behind!
As a business owner, I could never imagine treating a customer with
such arrogance! It amazes me he is still in business, but time will
tell! As far as I am concerned we were scammed!
