We listed with Monticello in early 2013, and simultaneously used Alexander as our buyer's agent in finding a larger home. The listing experience was excellent. Alexander is so far ahead of the local competition in terms of technology. He understands that today, virtually all potential buyers do their own research in the internet. He promptly bought an easy-to-remember web address for our property, and began to aggressively market it to maximize search engine exposure and potential traffic. He designed a beautiful web site, and his photographer was amazing. He worked hard to get our listing in front of as many people as possible, including the "house of the week" on the Times Union.
Knowing that we wanted to move as quickly as possible, Alexander scheduled multiple open houses, and showed the house several times per week. Ultimately, the market dictated a price drop (also we were under contract to buy our new home), and Alexander sold the house 24 hours later. 
As our buyers' agent, Alexander was patient, flexible, and logical. I can only imagine how annoying and picky we were. After touring dozens of "wrong" properties, Alexander found us the perfect home. Alexander handled the price negotiations like the attorney he is, and was able to get us a very fair price, with enough of a time cushion to sell our home. He accompanied us to inspections, and bent over backwards to make the experience easy on us. 
Overall, Alexander Monticello and Monticello LRB were an excellent choice, and we could not recommend them more highly. Alexander is a class act, and we very much appreciate all he did. Thankfully he found us our dream home, so we will not be buying anything in the near future, but anyone looking to buy or sell in the Capital District should call Alexander first.
