He's simply wonderful to work with. He found a humidifier for the piano so it doesn't lose its tune. The humidifier goes inside the piano to keep the felt and the keys from drying out. He's punctual and professional. He's even given me the name of a local piano teacher. I would highly recommend him.

Michael has been our piano tuner for a number of years. He is very dependable, accommodating, and professional. He calls to confirm and remind you of your scheduled tuning time. Michael arrives on time and ready to work. Our daughter took piano lessons for 14 years and he was our piano tuner at that time. when she left for college the piano was not used often, thus we stopped having it tuned. After retirement, I started lessons. The piano had not been tuned for 12 years. Michael returned, did his magic and the piano sounds wonderful. I highly recommend Michael.

The appointment went very well, as it always does! Michael Lamkin has been servicing my piano for the past few years now, generally with biannual service visits (on account of the age and condition of my piano, he has performed extra work when advised). He has consistently provided excellent, high-quality service, always at a reasonable cost. I have worked with other piano servicers in the area and have found Michael's knowledge and commitment to be far superior. I have an older Steinway piano that requires an extra level of care and attention, and Michael has provided just that. He has shown himself to be professional, organized. friendly, honest and trustworthy. He came highly recommended by an old friend who has been a client of Michael's for many years, and I am grateful to her for her recommendation. My piano is a valued possession and it has been in excellent hands since Michael started taking care of it.

Michael has been tuning my piano twice a year for 12 years or so. He also tunes the 2 pianos at my church and my mother's piano, as well. He provides a professional service at a reasonable price.

I have a 90 year old Kranich and Bach that I had rebuilt last year. Michael was referred to me by my restoration company to tune the piano after the rebuilding project was complete. Michael has done a great job. He schedules appointments well in advance, always emails and calls to make sure we are "on schedule", shows up promptly and does a excellent job keeping the piano in tune.

Michael has tuned our piano for twenty plus years. He does a great job making our antique-ish family piano sound fabulous! As my husband and I are very involved in music, it is important for us to have our piano perform well. BTW... Michael is friendly, prompt, flexible and is ALSO a great musician himself!

Michael Lamkin is a wealth of working knowledge about all sorts of pianos, old and new, high end and quotidian. He can take a 40+ old girl and make her sing with gorgeous notes again like new! Price very reasonable compared to other service providers, and, he can diagnose particular issues and help to restore color and vitality to particularly worn registers on your keyboard.

For many years I have had my piano serviced every 3 months by Michael Lamkin. Michael has always provided an excellent job in every respect and more than once he has discovered and corrected a developing problem that I had been unaware of. He is a very good technician, a thorough worker and a pleasure to deal with.

We find him to be proficient and reliable. He always calls a few days in advance to confirm the date and time and ALWAYS shows up when he says he will. He's also a musician and my husband and I have enjoyed seeing him play at different restaurant venues around the Albany region.
