LIMESTONE COWBOY LANDSCAPING

We hired Romano McCain to build a 4-foot high rock waterfall in a corner of the front yard. His original estimate was $3,800, and we had only planned to spend $1,000. We compromised and settled at $2,200, with a small pond at his suggestion (have not measured it, but approximately 5 feet wide, 4 feet across and at least 2 feet deep. We wanted this waterfall because we added a garage, and the view from the front window is now just the side of the garage extending in front. He assured us that we would have a waterfall we could see from inside, and from the other end of the porch. He finished the work, and while it was pretty, it was nothing like what we asked for, only about two feet high and could not be seen from inside the house or from the other end of the porch -- the very thing we had asked for. He became angry at my disappointment, and in the end, started yanking apart the fountain mechanisms and throwing the rocks off the fountain onto the lawn, using the F word liberally. We directed him to leave the property; he refused; we called the police. After they arrived, he calmed down and said he would make it right. He said we could absolutely not have what we said we asked for (he says we never did) for that price, so we showed him the height we would settle for, and he did it. It?s a very pretty fountain, but I would never hire him again or recommend him to anyone because of his anger and attitude. It's a shame to see someone get so out of control.
