The crew and equipment arrived on time. The work required a crane which was carefully parked on the driveway. The tree trunks were slowly lifted clear of the back porch, over the roof and brought to the street where they were stripped of limbs. The were returned to the back yard as I wanted them for firewood. Residue was picked up and the job was done before lunch.
When I returned from my trip the tree had been removed and the stump ground out.
Well I got a call from Jime's on Sunday stating they'd drive by on Monday and let me know what the estimate was to haul away all the branches and clean up the yard. I got a prompt call Monday with an estimate and they said they'd be a day late to do the job due to the rain. Fine by me, at least they called.
I came home on Tuesday to a PRISTINE lawn. I mean it looked like they had vaccuumed it. Not a trace of any pine needle/branch anywhere.
The crew arrived around 8 am, with several pieces of equipment, contacted us to confirm the work they were to do and then began working. They worked steadily until about 2 pm, with a short coffee break and a half hr lunch break.
They worked carefully, skillfully and quickly, used cables and ropes, and dropped the branches, limbs and trunks exactly where they wanted them. I was never concerned about our shed or house or fence, all of which were in the area where they were working. They took the branches out to the chipper as they came down, and hauled the logs out to a truck.
When they were done, the grinder came and did a very neat job taking care of the stump. BTW - the machine was radio-controlled, which was very cool to watch. When they were done, they raked and cleaned up the saw dust and debris. The yard looked great! They also raised some of the ground that was depressed by the falling branches and trunks, but dirt underneath to make sure they stayed up - very nice touch.
They were very careful how they accessed our back yard to stay on our property and not to stray onto our neighbors. The lawn was matted down, naturally from the passage of the heavy equipment driving back and forth over it during the day, but they did a good job of raking the grass when they were done. A week later and the lawn is recovering nicely.
We are very, very satisfied with the work done by Jime's. Although they were not the cheapest estimate, the work was worth every penny. We have used this company a number of times over the last 20 years and I would not hesitate to hire them again.
