Recommended by our landscaper, HURB Landscaping, Rick of Jime's Tree Service called me back promptly and came to evaluate our situation the same day.  From start to finish, the job was done in a highly professional manner.   Upon our request, Rick was very agreeable to have his insurance company e-mail his company's workmens' comp and liability insurance papers to us, which they did the very next day.  (This is something we ask of anyone who does work in and around our home).  Rick called the day before his crew came to make sure that it would be a good day for us.  His crew arrived at the designated hour and clearly took the time necessary to do a terrific job.    Our trees look fantastic, and our lawn was left in an immaculate condition.   For all the work that was done,  I felt that the price was very reasonable.

The crew and equipment arrived on time. The work required a crane which was carefully parked on the driveway. The tree trunks were slowly lifted clear of the back porch, over the roof and brought to the street where they were stripped of limbs. The were returned to the back yard as I wanted them for firewood. Residue was picked up and the job was done before lunch.

I called Jime's shortly after the tree came down and he stopped by. He said that he could remove the tree but had several other calls that he had to attend to first. The storm was very intense and this area had a lot of damage. I asked for a price and it seemed very reasonable. The problem was that we were leaving the next day on a two week trip. I didn't want the tree laying in my backyard while we were away. Also the tree was laying very close to my neighbor's backyard and I thought it would be impolite to leave it there. I asked him to remove the tree as soon as he could. I wrote out a check to pay for the service and gave it to him. Paying in advance like that is something I virtually never do. But Jime's had done work for me several time before and, over the years, had done work for some of my neighbors. I never heard anyone complain about the work that he did or have any complaints about him.
When I returned from my trip the tree had been removed and the stump ground out.

In July, 2011, I had my friend cut down a large blue spruce, and 2 hemlock bushes (that had grown to 12' tall). I was going to try to cut down the branches myself, but it was daunting work. I called THREE places, and being a Saturday, I figured I'd not hear back until Monday.
Well I got a call from Jime's on Sunday stating they'd drive by on Monday and let me know what the estimate was to haul away all the branches and clean up the yard. I got a prompt call Monday with an estimate and they said they'd be a day late to do the job due to the rain. Fine by me, at least they called.
I came home on Tuesday to a PRISTINE lawn. I mean it looked like they had vaccuumed it. Not a trace of any pine needle/branch anywhere.

Overall they did a great job. The came when they were scheduled to, set up their crane and trucks and the 4 works did their job. The trees were cut in a professional manner, and they did an excellent job cleaning up when they were done. I was happy with the price, I did get one other price for the same work and they came in at $1,500+/- over Jime's price.

the scheduled day, the crew came on time and did an outstanding job. I note that they contacted my neighbor before starting, to give him an opportunity to move a vehicle that was parked in the area where one of the trees would be removed, just in case. This is very professional.
The crew arrived around 8 am, with several pieces of equipment, contacted us to confirm the work they were to do and then began working. They worked steadily until about 2 pm, with a short coffee break and a half hr lunch break.
They worked carefully, skillfully and quickly, used cables and ropes, and dropped the branches, limbs and trunks exactly where they wanted them. I was never concerned about our shed or house or fence, all of which were in the area where they were working. They took the branches out to the chipper as they came down, and hauled the logs out to a truck.
When they were done, the grinder came and did a very neat job taking care of the stump. BTW - the machine was radio-controlled, which was very cool to watch. When they were done, they raked and cleaned up the saw dust and debris. The yard looked great! They also raised some of the ground that was depressed by the falling branches and trunks, but dirt underneath to make sure they stayed up - very nice touch.
They were very careful how they accessed our back yard to stay on our property and not to stray onto our neighbors. The lawn was matted down, naturally from the passage of the heavy equipment driving back and forth over it during the day, but they did a good job of raking the grass when they were done. A week later and the lawn is recovering nicely.
We are very, very satisfied with the work done by Jime's. Although they were not the cheapest estimate, the work was worth every penny. We have used this company a number of times over the last 20 years and I would not hesitate to hire them again.

I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM. I THOUGHT THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL. THEY KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING AND THEY HAD THE RIGHT EQUIPMENT. I WAS PLEASED. THE TREES LOOK GOOD AND WERE TRIMMED PROPERLY. I THOUGHT THE PRICE WAS IN LINE WITH OTHER COMPANIES IN THE AREA.

WE HAD A FINE EXPERIENCE WITH THEM. THEY CAME AND DID WHAT THEY NEEDED TO DO AND WE PAID THEM. WE HAVE USED THEM IN THE PAST AND THEY WERE REALLY GOOD THEN TOO.
