It took a while for them to get the parts, but they did an excellent job once they arrived. They charge a premium, though.

The collision repair quality was perfect. Their use of texting and other communication provided daily updates on the status. Enterprise Rent-a-car is in the next office from them, so it was incredibly convenient to get a car. Later, I needed warranty work done because an interior door mechanism failed. In error, I brought it to another body shop, who opened it up and found the problem. Then I remembered H&V's lifetime warranty on repairs. Ricky from H&V was incredibly helpful and professional in sorting it out and getting the repair done under warranty, even though I failed to follow their procedure in returning the car to them first. Although he could have justifiably stuck me with the repair, he went out of his way to sort it out between the insurance company and other repair shop to make sure I was happy. That's incredible service!

I brought the car over on Aug 8 to get an estimate. Alex,the estimator was prompt & courteous, showed me exactly what had to be done, and estimated within $50 the total cost. The office office staff were pleasant and helpful, got me an appt. two weeks later, and helped me arrange a rental.
Car went in 8 am on a Monday, I got 3 text messages keeping me updated and the car was promised by 5:00 on Wednesday (paint had to dry). It was ready at 4;45, the manager, Rickey, went over the car with me and told me to call if anything wasn't to my satisfaction. They even gave me a chocolate from Krause's!

Customer service was above and beyond what I would expect from a mechanic/collision shop; I wish all car related businesses had such upbeat and helpful service. They have no issues with you calling to ask questions and they were very methodical in contacting you about my car's progress. I was able to pick up a rental at the same place with giving only about a half hours notice, and even the rental place didn't hassle me about unnecessary upgrades. The repairs were done a week and a half before the promised date, but I imagine they over-estimate on those dates anyhow.
Insurance covered most of the cost so I can't speak for how good the pricing was (didn't shop around), although it was given to me in a well spelled out invoice. Interactions between H&V and my insurance was seamless; they basically removed me as the middle man which is great because it's the last thing I wanted to deal with after hitting that deer!

Very slow and unprofessional in terms of time management. Took 4 business days before starting damage evaluation. This means they even did not take a look at my car for 4 business days. Also it took 3 business days just to relocate vehicles to another H&V location, which was intended for fast service, which I was not seeing when they wasted time without doing any repair. If this is the case, they should have told me about potential prolonged process but I was never informed. They wasted my time and money for car rental for nothing. They even did not order proper parts, for which they are going to spend another several days until they arrive on site. Again, I was not informed about this until I asked them. This collision center seems not to understand how important customer's time and money are. Overall repair process takes over 2 weeks for not-too-difficult repair. Extremely disappointing.

I was told it is ok to do so by the call center representative, which is different from this office, but when I asked her this to confirm, she kept saying I had to make another appointment and cannot drop off the vehicle until then. Nothing went right from the start. No loaner vehicles available for more than a week. H&V was not able to provide a ride home despite website stating that a ride would be available. While not H&V's fault, Enterprise Rental Car had no vehicles available until the next day which forced my wife to leave work to pick me up. No insurance was involved so H&V quoted and charged full OEM prices and, in my humble opinion, excess labor hours. H&V indicated that at time of quote that they would work with the parts vendor to price match the OEM parts but final bill was full OEM pricing. Gentlemen at check-out desk cluelessly stated he "doesn't know what they do back there." H&V was fully aware that an insurance company would pay them significantly less than they charged me but no accommodation was made. Lastly, repair took way too long to complete. Promised vehicle would be ready on a Friday but was not delivered until the following Monday - nearly 2 weeks from drop-off for repair of lower front fascia and radiator replacement of a Honda Accord - not a difficult vehicle to get parts for.
The repair looks good which I would expect from OEM parts.

I came back in two weeks, they took it in early, fixed it up right, and showed me everything they did, including tightening a few loose bolts on the license frame and sideview mirror that I wasn't even aware of.
These folks are friendly, very professional in what they do, and go the extra mile............for about 10% of what the dealers wanted to charge me.
Yesterday, April, 15, I caught another curb, this time only loosening the front skirt; but it was something I'm too old to fix myself anymore. I dropped by with no appt, they hooked me up with Dan, and 10 minutes later all was well. They wouldn't even accept a donation to their coffee fund.

Damage inspection was thorough. Additional work was found to be needed once the dissassembly process began and was not necessarily a surprise based on the hidden location of the faulty part. There was an issue with one of the parts that was ordered (not sure if it was a quality issue or incorrect part) so another source for the part had to located. Repair time was about 7 days vs the expected 5 days. Quality of replacement parts seemed good. The painting was excellent - matching and blending the new paint with the existing paint was superb (car is 12 years old but like new).
About seven months after the repair work, I went to detail the car. I pulled the spare and found about 1.5 inches of water in the spare tire compartment. Took the car back and Hand V found the leak that was around the tail light, and sealed it. The spare tire compartment was rust colored - the assistant manager said that the compartment was rust proofed well so there should not be any problem. I have since detailed the trunk area and I see that there is in fact rust there. At a follow up visit with Hand V, Hand V agreed to clean up and address any rusting.
The reason I am driving the rust issue is that the car is in excellent condition with less than 30K miles. It has been garaged and taken care of since my wife bought it new. We plan on having the car for another eight years.

It went very well. The insurance company set up the first appointment, H and V was ready, we did the required paperwork, I received a casual estimate, then a more specific estimate after they had been able to fully inspect the car. They were very thorough, the car looks like it did when new. They even changed out tail light bulbs that were aftermarket because they're know to cause some error codes on the dash.

Hand V Collision is great! I had a minor fender bender this summer (my first ever) and was referred to Hand V Collision's Troy location by my insurance company. Everyone was very friendly and helpful from the moment I walked in. I went out and showed them the damage, and they explained what they were going to do next based on what they could see from the outside and said they would send me a final estimate once they had taken the car apart to look for any interior damage.
There is an Enterprise location on site so I was able to get my rental car there and drop it off there, which was very convenient - no hassle of buses, cabs or getting rides from friends. They were very prompt in sending me an estimate, and they have a great online service which allows you to see your estimate, and pictures of your car as they work on it. They took pictures of all the damages both exterior and interior (as they took apart the front bumper/hood), and those pictures were available with my estimate online.
They asked me how often I'd like to be updated about the progress (I said every other day) and they called and emailed me about my car's progress regularly. They were very professional and courteous and the work only took a week to complete. All the staff are great and willing to explain everything to you. The waiting room is also very nice, with comfortable seating, reading materials, TV, bathroom, and a variety of snacks and drinks.
The work was about $3500, although I only paid $1000 for the deductible. They are an and quot;Expressand quot; shop with Geico as well so I was able to go, drop my car off, pick up my rental car (my insurance dealt with all that and the pick-up was right at the Hand V location), return the car there, and just paid the shop my deductible and insurance paid the rest directly without me having to pay and be reimbursed.
The work that Hand V Collision did on my car was amazing and although I hope I never have to experience a car accident again, I will definitely return there if I need body work in the future.

I have used them in the past and will continue to go there. Their service is great and if they say it will take three hours, it is done in two hours. They do not try to nickel and dime you with unnecessary work. I trust them.

I THOUGHT THEY WERE VERY GOOD. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. THE WORK WAS VERY GOOD. THE WORK WAS ACTUALLY DONE SOONER THAN WHAT THEY SAID IT WOULD BE.
