Short story a 1 day install turned out to be 6 days over two weeks because: 1- they MIS MEASURED for the furnace 2- drilled through a bathroom wall running wires for the thermostat. Their fix is worse than the hole they created. the hole was about 1/2 inch and the patch is about 6"x4" and they do not match paint so our bathroom wall looks horrible. We have to get the paint and materials to fix it. 3- Four days after the install, the new thermostat died and had to replaced. They will not offer credit for our time/expense to fix the hole or the extra 5 days we had to be home so they could fix their errors When I called to speak to a manager, it took from 9/29 to 10/3 to finally get through to one (I called many times and only had 1 return call and he said they would fix all their errors and make things right). Another mgr called me back on 10/4 and left voice mail), I returned his call the same day and it is now 10/10 and still no return call. And we have been loyal customers for years (all HVAC service through Danz, had service agreements, hot water tank install, etc). This is how they treat loyal customers!! If I could give 90 stars, I would.

On 5/17/21 David Hebert of Family Danz provided outstanding service at my residence. The air conditioning unit was wired into the humidifier. He corrected the wiring. He opened up the unit and did a thorough cleaning job. He offered a simpler solution to the sludge problem on my water heater causing short showers. Noticed that the wire on my matchless stove had been pulled out and destroyed. He offered to fix that a later date. Very professional and helpful.

The temperature outside was in the single digits with snow and ice everywhere when we realized that our heating system was not working as it is supposed to. Our call to Family Danz Heating & Cooling resulted in Todd, a HVAC technician, without delay, appearing at our home. After a brief explanation of what was happening with our heating system, Todd [obviously a very experienced HVAC technician] assessed the problem, quickly recognizing the issue [old equipment with plugged heat exchanger] and explained the actions he would immediately take [like he owed it] to begin the process of getting our problem “fixed”. He turned the gas and electric supply to the furnace off to avoid a dangerous situation and assured us that help was on the way and we would have ‘temporary’ heat shortly. Within two hours John Raiti, Comfort Consultant, arrived with portable electric space heaters which would become our source of heat until our new HVAC system installation was complete. John explained to us all the various options and the value of the different alternatives that were available to us. He has excellent communication skills and interacts well with the customer. He is obviously able to successfully adapt to the customer’s personal style, making an experience like immediately having to replace a complete HVAC system that has failed, which can be filled with anxiety and stress, a walk in the park. He easily explained what was going to be done, to make this new most essential system that would be being installed, better than we ever would expect. He was immediately able to juggle installation schedules to address our pressing need. Knowing your product and being able to explain the functions it performs and the value it provides to the customer comes naturally to John. He is obviously highly committed to customer’s satisfaction. Mel Crane, Dom Comitale and Mark Hughes arrived with the new equipment and their customer centric positive attitudes that left us with a real sense of confidence in the task ahead of them. They definitely demonstrated their deep technical experience in the HVAC discipline and at the same time being able to simply explain the functionality of the system and how it would be performing to meet the customer’s expectations. They worked efficiently and with complete professionalism on the demolition and removal of the old equipment and the installation of the new equipment, answering all questions and providing complete instructions [that we could easily understand] on the operation and maintenance of the new HVAC system. They left our basement cleaner and neater than it was when they arrived. Additionally, we did have a pleasant ‘bonus’ to our installation as the Family Danz owner, Ted Danz, stopped by while the installation was taking place for a chat and to extend his appreciation for our business. The value of the Bryant product, combined with the Family Danz Heating & Cooling brand’s reputation, always exceeds our expectations.

After waking up one morning and taking a cold shower I called Family Danz to come look at my water heater. This was during winter shortly after a snow storm and they were of course quite bust. Regardless, an appointment was rapidly scheduled at my convenience and support staff at the company were easy to reach. The employee spent their time advising me on cost of repair vs replacement and which options might suit me best. At no time did I feel pressured or rushed to make a decision. Their quote was lower than local competitors with similar ratings and they scheduled the job much more rapidly. The technicians that arrived were friendly and accommodating. The job was completed rapidly and when they cleaned up and left you could not tell that work had been completed, shiny new water heater aside. I would not hesitate to contact Family Danz for future HVAC needs or to recommend them to my family and friends.

The Furnace & AC Tune up was great! Great price and Great and informative service men. I asked the men to price replacing the boosters. They took pictures. BUT... HUGE ....BUT.... The company did NOT return my calls or when I talked to someone I did not get answers to replacing my boosters. I was hoping to get that done around that time but now almost a year later I have to search for another company to do it! Don't use this company unless you thing you will never need anything else except a basic tune up! Hahahah!

Our annual preventive maintenance was mishandled by another firm, so we called Family Danz to figure out and fix the furnace, which they did well. The problem was, the technician said further work was necessary and it needed to be done in the next few days. When we did not hear from them for a week, I called and was told the technician's dispatcher would call me back. She never did. I called again and got the dispatcher. She said she would check with the parts department and call me back. She did not call back. I called a third time, and she said they were waiting on parts and would call as soon as they arrived. Again, she never called. They get an A on the initial service and an F on follow-up.

The cost wasn't outrageous. Many years ago, when we first had a furnace put in the new house, they put it in. We have been happy with their service over the years. The price was reasonable. I still have them service it. I like their responsiveness. If you call them and they have something to take care of, they come fairly rapidly. You don't have to wait a long time. They are prompt in service. They're inspection of the furnace and air conditioner are complete. We have dealt with them ever since we had this house built.

When they installed the furnace, they damaged the front door and my flooring. They are no longer Trane certified, and were more interested in selling me a new furnace as opposed to trying to find a solution to my problem. When I tried to press the issue I got a poor response. This lead me to searching for another company.

We had a dead air-conditioner and older furnace. The air-conditioning unit leaked into the furnace. We got a better deal to replace both at the the same time, so we did. We upgraded both systems, and took advantage of rebates and discounts. They weren't cheap, but no complaints on service or units. Family Danz arrived on time, did a thorough evaluation of the whole 3 zone system. They explained everything in advance, and were not pushy, but they were informative. They followed-up, and arrived on-time for a two-man installation. It was a big job, with 3 zone heat, and our air-conditioner was not easy to access. The job was seamless. I felt comfortable if there was a problem they would be there. The only reason I gave them a "B" on professionalism, is the installers although they did an excellent job, were not trained on how to talk to the customer when wrapping up the job. They just had the clip board out and were ready to leave and get paid, and I wanted to run through and see how everything was working before they left. We have been very happy with our Bryant system. All three zones are working better than they ever have and the new system is so quiet we never hear anything. The proper temperature is maintained. I have no complaints and I would recommend them to a friend.

Called on Friday morning and made an appointment for Monday afternoon, which was the earliest available opening they had. Jim came out, took a look at the leak and informed me that this is actually not unusual to have. It's not a sign of anything wrong and advised me how to handle it. Since my furnace was overdue for a cleaning, he suggested rather than pay $99 for him just to come out and look at the furnace, I could pay $115 plus tax for a cleaning that was needed. I appreciated the suggestion and took him up on it. He did a thorough cleaning and educated me on some things I should know was a homeowner as it comes to my furnace. He was efficient, professional and honest. Everything I could've wanted.
