We had our dog for 4 prior to our daughter being born. He was always well trained through basic obedience. He was even trained as an agility dog. But our daughter started feeding him and he became a little jealous and even became a little nervous around other dogs. Possibly due to all the changes. We also had an issue where our dog thought that he was the one in charge, he started to only selectively obey commands.
He needed a refresher course and some behavior modification, but non of the traditional courses were getting the job done. It was hard to send our dog away to someone for 5 weeks, but it turned out to be the bet thing we ever did. James turned the relationship with our dog around. People went from asking if our dog was a puppy and always saying he is just a little "excited" to saying that he is one of the most well behaved dogs they have ever met. He is so well disciplined that my daughter can eat cheese and peanut butter inches from the dogs nose and he simply sits there and looks at her. In turn our dog has become more confident. James explains that he feels like we are in control of the situation and he can trust our direction. This order is more similar to a dogs pack structure.
James saved the relationship with our dog, we should have sent him there a long time ago. I will never have another dog without first sending them to James for training.
