County Wide Paving

I had Countywide Paving pave my driveway, and unfortunately, the experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. The craftsmanship was laughable. It was evident that little care or attention to detail was put into the job. Not only did this compromise the aesthetic appeal of my property, but it also raised concerns about the longevity and durability of the driveway. After two years, the sides of the driveway began to crumble and fall apart. Large cracks began to form near the middle and pieces of the driveway have since come off. I reached out to Brian for help, because he guaranteed that the driveway would be under warranty for 5 years. Brian initially responded and told me he would fix the driveway, no problem. He took down my information and said that he would get right back to me. Well that was over a year ago. My calls went unanswered, and text messages ignored. It has been incredibly frustrating to be left in the dark, especially considering the substantial investment I made in their services. Overall, my experience with Countywide Paving was deeply disappointing. Their lack of professionalism, coupled with subpar workmanship and poor communication, left me feeling cheated and dissatisfied. I would strongly advise anyone considering their services to proceed with caution or look elsewhere for a more reliable and competent contractor.

Brian at County Wide paving was fantastic. He really helped me and my family out in a jam. We had permit expiring at the end of the week to install a driveway at my father in-laws house, and my wife and I live in Boston. We called County Wide and Brian and his team were able to give us a quote over the phone and start work the very next day. His team also came back the next week and installed a gate for us, which was a big help considering the gate was supposed to be there on the day of installation but was delayed at the hardware store. Brian was incredibly responsive and easy to work with. He sent me and my wife pictures of the progress and kept us up to date on everything. This was a great experience all around and we highly highly highly recommend for anyone looking to have a driveway put in.

Nothing was right. It was to be 3-4 inches thick it is only 1/2 inch to 1 inch thick. Within a few weeks, there were sink holes. They never officially finished the job and didn't come back out to complete it. He refused to provide me with a receipt and said he would email one to me. At this time, I still don't have a receipt. He took my copy of the contract because he claimed he forgot his copy and then never returned it. The driveway is coming apart. Grass is growing in it and the sides were never completed. A screening was to be be placed as well as gravel. The entire job was shoddy work. I am also having issues with the sidewalk they put in. I paid $5800.00 for this. The boss doesn’t return calls or texts to resolve. I was able to call the office and the owner answered. I explained what was done. He said he was not happy with the complaint and would call me back. I have never received a return call.

I thought I was happy with it but as the job was being done I kept questioning the “boss”. My old pavement was removed and I was to have new gravel put down. I did not. I was told the the existing gravel was better. I didn’t get any credit. I was told I would have no seam in the driveway and all my water drainage concerns would be gone. I was assured that water is not on a driveway that is “done right”. The first rain storm came 2 weeks later and my driveway was full of water in the exact places it was before I had the driveway done. I called him up, sent pictures and I was told my driveway was beautiful. I told him I was not pleased and he needed to come see it. I now have numerous sink holes all over my driveway. Several calls and texts later and still has not come. I spent over $7000 dollars!

Professional competent crew. I contracted the work at the beginning of September and was advised up front that the job would not be able to be done for 4-6 weeks. Work was due to be done last week in October. The old driveway was removed and the new base layer laid, but due to unforeseen weather the application of the asphalt was delayed a few weeks. Brian made accommodations and got the finished with a few days to spare before Thanksgiving guests were due to arrive. Brian kept in contact as to the status of the job and was pleasant to work with. His workers were courteous and capable; arrived on time, cleaned up well afterward. The driveway looks great!

He came with no asphalt leveling machine, no tamper to tamp out the rubble they just raked it out and had a guy with boards to his feet to tamp it out and a small rented roller not one item he had had the company name on it....the finished driveway looks like a pond in a wind storm, he promised the would finish my other driveway the next day...when he came to do the other 2 weeks later he had all the right stuff to do it but broke my sidewalk I will NEVER use Andie again He came with good review but what a fly by nite the company was

The job I wanted done was fairly minor and involved resurfacing about 1000 sq ft of our driveway, where the asphalt millings had been washed away. I contacted five companies on Angie's List who offered this kind of service. Only two of the companies even bothered to respond. County Wide Paving came within a few days to give an estimate, and said they could probably do the work within a week or so. Because of weather and other issues, it took more like four weeks and two more phone calls before their crew arrived, but there is nothing unusual about that. They were obviously competent, started the work, and then offered to resurface the whole 3000 sq ft driveway. At first they were asking quite a bit more, but soon agreed to another and quite acceptable price. The whole job was done before the day was over, and very well. Since then, we had a couple of heavy rainstorms, and their asphalt millings have stayed in place. Our experience with County Wide Paving was entirely pleasant, and we expect to contact them again if the need arises.

I highly recommend COUNTYWIDE PAVING. They arrived promptly with all the necessary equipment and several obviously well trained people to do the job. When they finished they completely cleaned the area up and the driveway looks GREAT.

I strongly recommend hiring this crew of guys for any kind of paving job. They responded in a day and paved within two days and got it done. They were super energetic and efficient with their work. The boss was funny and kept his crew alert and alive. It was almost a paving a entertainment package. They were all very professional, cleaned up nice and were super polite. 11/10 wouldn’t hire anyone else.

Horrible. They had A rating and subbed work out to a C rated contractor on Angie’s list. I picked an A deserved an A. Great up front. The C contractor did not remove all of the driveway. They left pavement and covered with stone. Was supposed to provide 6” of crusher and did not. Never removed or boxed out entire driveway. Added stone as they removed top layer of pavement, and left pavement. Never proof rolled soil per contract. Kept adding stone as they removed, then told me the soil under stone was bad, and wanted me to pay as much for the binder as what I was going to pay for topper. Then proceeded to say the other peoples driveway’s may have the same issue, and continued to cover theirs also. Then tried to sell them a binder too. If I was not home, I bet they would have paved over it all, and I would have never known. Had to loose my down payment just to get them to leave me alone.

In the process of obtaining bids to replace our driveway, I contacted Home Advisor who provided Countywide Paving as one of their recommended contractors. In addition, I received bids from several other contractors which proved to be either too high or too low, or failed to provide appropriate references. When Brian came to our home he measured the existing driveway and gave us a straightforward estimate which also including warranties. We were very pleased with the bid and hired Brian to do the work. A month elapsed between the first payment upon signing the agreement and the actual completion of the job. Brian contacted us the day before the scheduled date to let us know that the rainstorm on the previous day had set them back a little but that they would start late on the promised day and complete it on the next. The large crew was extremely professional, especially when confronted by an irate and irrational backyard neighbor who was demanding that they stop work immediately because of blatantly false claims he made about water allegedly draining from our driveway onto his property which caused damage. This neighbor, who has a long history of this type of behavior, not only engaged us, some of the workers, but Brian as well, who by all accounts dealt with him in a professional manner. Following that incident, the job was completed on time and we are very pleased with the results. We are certain that this driveway hadn’t been replaced in at least 50 years and the obvious quality of the new driveway is a vast improvement. The next day, Brian followed up with a phone call to me to discuss the work, the neighbor and whether or not we were satisfied with the job. I assured him that we were very pleased with the work and would be very happy to recommend him to others.

Countywide Paving did an excellent job of replacing my old driveway. I highly recommend them, and I would refer them to anyone in need of a new driveway! They were professional, reliable, and did an amazing job. Brian gave me a reasonable price and was so enthusiastic about the company that I threw the other quotes away! I am so happy with my choice! The workmanship is wonderful. Originally I was concerned that the workers would destroy the landscaping around the driveway, but it was amazing, in just a few hours, I had a great new driveway, and not a blade of grass was damaged! I would, and will, recommend Brian and Country Wide Paving with the Highest rating AAA if possible. Brian went over and beyond for me. He was ever-so professional, and accommodating to my unusual circumstances. Please read on ..... Brian at County Wide Paving was recommended to me,. He personally came to my home to give me his assessment of the job to be done. He was very responsive to my ideas and gave me a very reasonable cost for the job. I signed a contract with him that day. I was really looking forward to seeing the end result. Shortly after, as life will somehow happen. It became obvious that I couldn't remain in the home much longer. The family decision was made that I should put the house on the market, as is, sell and move to a senior apartment. I really felt bad when I called Brian to say that I needed to get out of the contract for my driveway. I hated to ask, as the time for the driveway work was getting close. Brian was so understanding, even though I knew it was a hardship on his part. So understanding and accommodating a contractor is hard to find today. I am very indebted to Brian. He's the Best!
