Don't waste you time. I got a quote in June, Deposited the first week of July, and was told it would be 8-12 weeks for installation. They came out a week later to measure and order the windows (large, not standard size). A month later I got a check for my deposit refunded with no explanation. Spent a WEEK calling to find out what is going on (was this an error?). Finally got to speak to a manager who said they canceled my order/contract becuase they decided the slope of the windows (sun room) was too low for them to warranty the order, but "forgot" to reach out and tell me it was canceled. Both the salesperson and the person who measured the order a week later didn't see a problem with the angle, it took them a month to "realize" there was an issue with the slope. This manager then made a few jokes about me driving the office crazy with my calls, and how they really didn't want to refund my deposit, so they could spend it on a party. After waiting 2 months on them is not the time to make jokes about how unprofessional they were. I get it, mistakes happen, but not returning my calls when I am just looking for answers, and you acknowledging you messed up is just crappy business.

We contacted Comfort Windows to make our home more energy efficient as they were recommended by NYSERDA.  The hiring process went smoothly.  The local sales rep came to the house and walked us through the process.  They then sent someone to evaluate our situation and make recommendations.  They then presented us with their proposal and everything was to our satisfaction.  Once we entered into a contract for services with them that ball was dropped.  We were told work would be done in the summer months, when I would be home to oversee them. This did not happen.  Apparently our rep left the company that July and the ball was dropped again.  I had to call many time and was finally put on the schedule for September.  Work was completed when I was not around and not to my satisfaction.   They could not insulate areas of the house because they waited too long and we had already received our pellets for the upcoming winter.  We were expecting rectangular aluminum soffits equally spaced under our roof line and they installed circular ones that are not equally spaced out.  They did insulate the attics well, and the bathroom fan was installed to our satisfaction as well.  The piece of ceiling they installed was cut but just set in there and has since fallen out.   We have had to contact them several times after the installation to come back and correct things and some issues still exist.  I plan to contact them again once the weather warms up so all out heat is not escaping outside.
In Summary:  Comfort was great at getting the sale, but the work performed was fair at best.  This was not necessarily the installers fault as they were not given good directions from their supervisors.

We contacted Comfort Windows around May or June of 2015. They sent their crack salesman  to bid the job. He showed up on a Saturday with brochures, clip board, and tape measure. His purpose of being there was for a meet and greet and to do measurements to see approximately how many square of siding would be needed. He decided to use our valuable time to sit around on our patio furniture chewing the fat showing us different types of siding and pontificating what a great company Comfort was and also took the time to brag that he was also a general contractor on the side. Needless to say he did not do the measurements of which I already knew approximately how many square it would be. He said he would come back on the following Monday to measure it up. My wife and I were just confounded by that, but since Comfort came with such a great reputation and recommendation we let it slide. It was actually two weeks before he came back to take measurements. After he took the measurements he again had to come back at another later date with a contract (that looked like something a seven year old had prepared)  for us to look over and sign. The price was a bit high, $24,000, but the monthly payments were under $200 and after intensive research on the internet and talking to a couple of Comfort's customers concerning their reputation and quality of work which seemed excellent, and, talking to another company that came in way too low on price, of whom had a terrible rating and rep for poor quality workmanship, we decided Comfort was the one to go with. Many of the well known siding companies in our area had terrible ratings and reputations. Comfort came in rated way above everyone else. It was peace of mind we were paying for we kept telling ourselves. After signing the contract the salesman told us that the start date for the siding would be mid October and that he needed to come back in a couple of days with the project manager to do a final measurement. Are you kidding, another measurement, I said too him. This was in late June early July. He never came back for the finale measurement till the end of August at which time we cut Comfort a check for a down payment of $8,100. Mind you we already had gotten the loan from a lender that "Comfort" had recommended and had already made our first payment by then and no work had been started yet. then came mid October and no word yet from the salesman who gladly took our money back in August. When I finally got a hold of him he seemed to be irritated by me calling inquiring as to when they were going to start the work. He said it probably wouldn't happen till around the end of November early December. I said that was unacceptable and he became abrasive and abrupt. I reminded him that he had $8,100 of our money. I also mentioned to him of the recent TV commercials that I had seen offering a 20% discount. He laughed at me and said; you know how those things work. That 20% was already figured into the price. I asked him if he really thought I that was stupid? He quickly changed the subject and said he would call back within the hour with a start date. Some woman called instead and left a message with the start time on my answering machine rather than call me on my cell personally. I called that woman back and ripped into her and complained about the salesman and the way he had treated us and I wanted our money back. She convinced us to come in and meet with them. We went into comfort to meet with the project manager and go over all the details of the project and to our relief we were told the salesman handling our project was no longer employed there. Earlier we had changed the style of siding and color with the salesman who never submitted the change order. Luckily Comfort found the e-mails we sent him concerning the change order.  it was caught in time and the change was made; so we thought. The Job was started a week earlier than scheduled which was great. They came to install the doors. Great job except one door is two inches narrower than the old one. This is due to the salesman's inability to read a tape measure properly. If we can get the washer/dryer through that door we'll let it slide. If not, Comfort is buying us a new door. When the siding was started my wife came home to find one side of our house sided in the style we had previously ordered and rejected. They had to rip it all off and start all over again. That set them back several days because they had to get the order straightened out. The first crew to show up spent more time sitting in their truck drinking coffee talking and playing on their cell phones than working; according to our neighbors on both sides. Our neighbors seized every opportunity to tell us of the crews continual laziness, loud talking arguing and continual use of profanity. There was no consistency in their work. These guys would start a section on one side get bored and go to another side of the house and then start another section. It looked  ridiculous and made no sense. The neighbors were actually making jokes about it and I was quite embarrassed by their constant haranguing over it. It was the running joke of the neighborhood. There were days when it looked like nothing was getting done and a couple of days when they didn't even show up at all. The last straw was on a Saturday when my wife and I were going out for the day and my wife crossed the yard to talk to our neighbor for a minute when she noticed what she thought was smoke coming out from under the siding. She thought the house was on fire and quickly called me over. It wasn't smoke, it was steam. Turns out one of Comforts ace siding installers had covered over the dryer vent; my wife had just put a load in the dryer before we were about to go out.. Had she not noticed the steam and had we left, there is a good chance we would have come home to a pile of ashes.  I finally blew my top and called the after hours answering service and demanded they have someone call me immediately. When they did call I ordered them to come and get their stuff off my property. I was that angry. A manager named Jay talked me into allowing them to send another crew, of which I reluctantly agreed. Jay was someone Comfort assigned to smooth things over. He seemed like a decent guy and if not for him I probably would have kicked comfort out of here for good. The new crew Jay sent over was great. The foreman's name was Brian. Unfortunately Brian had to fix a lot of mistakes the previous crew had made. He and the two fella's helping him had an excellent work ethic and demonstrated a constant professional attitude the whole time and seemed to know their stuff. Another unfortunate was that they had a helper from the previous crew working with them and they had to babysit him the whole time. He was totally useless and his finish work was very poor. When I pointed out a problem with the siding looking a bit off level he chose to argue with me and tell me that it was my house that was off. Well, it might be, but that's because it's an 80 year old house. But still that is no excuse for poor workmanship. There are ways to correct that. Anyway when I put a level up to the freeze board it turned out the house was spot on level. It was the lazy lout who did not take time to measure properly. Brian ended up having to fix this jerks abortion.  We are very pleased with Brian's work and hope Comfort knows what they have in his crew and reward them accordingly. We are now into the first week of January and the job has just been completed. It was started the week before Thanksgiving. The

I spent $14000. I have big windows and some of them are custom made. I like the warranty on them, it's transferable to another owner of the house and if any of them broke they would replace it free of charge.

It was a easy to work with them, and they finished the work faster than I was expecting. They also did everything they supposed to work great as a team and cleaned up after themselves.

The salesman came to our home in a timely manner and gave us the options. These windows come with a lifetime guarantee. We had already gone to the store and looked at the windows and spoke with a manager and decided on Comfort. We looked at different brands at Home Depot and these are comparable. It took about 6 weeks to get the windows ordered and then another month to get on their schedule for the install. The day of install 4 guys came. They were very professional. They wore booties in the house so as not to track snow in. They did not leave any mess at all. The even put our window treatments back up after the windows were installed which they didn't have to do. What was amazing is that they installed 20 windows before noon on the first day. They still had to do trim work around the inside but we were able to get our house back together by the end of the first day. Outside trim work was completed in the next 1 1/2 days. Outstanding crew and product. Highly recommend.

We had a somewhat rocky start, but then I spoke with the company and they addressed all of my concerns.  The window installers who came to address my concerns were very professional and went over everything with me.  They cleaned up anything that was messy and took care with the interior of my condo. They went above and beyond to make me happy.  They didn't leave until we went through everything.
The bathroom installers were great.  They cleaned up after themselves before they left for the day.  They replaced the tub/shower are and installed a tile floor. They told me how long I needed to wait before going in to paint the hard to get once the sink and commode are installed places.  They also told me that I could paint the trim before it was installed.  I was very busy after they left and before they returned!  When I poked my head in to watch their progress, they answered my questions and gave me progress reports.  They were very professional and made sure that everything was done to my satisfaction.
The windows and bathroom look great!  I definitely recommend them.

At our initial meeting with Comfort Windows, we were promised by the salesperson that everything would be done in the highest manner of professionalism possible.  This did not happen in our home.  The installation crew that worked in the upper floor of my home created a complete mess.  They didn't protect my floors, they ruined all of the existing window frames and trim.  They threw windows out of the top floor for disposal, instead of neatly carrying them down and out.  They broke windows on my lawn, leaving glass to be picked up as well as huge gauges in my property due to the weight of the windows coming down.  I have small children and I haven't allowed them to play without shoes on since that day because I am not certain that all the glass was recovered. They threw windows down onto my existing shrubs and hedges and broke those, too.  They put gashes in my walls and scratches in my hardwood floors.  And, they improperly installed a screen in my home and that screen is ripped. When I asked the crew to please stop performing their work in such an unprofessional manner and informed them that they were damaging my property and I wanted them to stop, they ignored me.  On day one--in hour one--of the installation, I placed a panicked call to Comfort Windows and they sent out a "Production Manager" by the name of Joshua to us.  Joshua spoke with the crew and left.  Things did not get any better from there.  Apparently, their crews don't like being told they're doing an unprofessional job and proceeded to break more window trim than was necessary.  They complained about having to replace it with new trim, which they eventually did anyway.  But, they told us that any painting or "finishing" of the new trim would have to be done by us.  I called again to complain about their professionalism and that I didn't believe we should be held responsible for ANY of the damages Comfort Windows did to our home during installation.  On Sept. 19, 2013, Comfort Windows then sent a Sales Manager by the name of Tim McCaffrey out to us to assess the damages.  (Exactly what a Sales Manager is supposed to do in assessing damages, I do not know.)  Mr. McCaffrey walked through my home with me, room by room, and took pictures and wrote down damages he saw in the home.  Mr. McCaffrey then promised I would hear from him no later than Monday, Sept. 23, 2013.  It is now October 4, and we have heard nothing.  I paid Comfort Windows in full and in good faith that the repairs promised to me by Mr. McCaffrey would be done.  Now that they have my money, they don't have any intention of making good on the damage they caused.  The ripped screen alone should have sent them right back out here because that is in violation of their warranty.  Apparently, they lied about their warranty, too.  They won't send anyone out because then they'll be forced to acknowledge the other damages.

Sales was nice and not pressured. Quality was great, and the installation crew was great. It was a big job, and there were many ways they could have made it quicker and cheaper, but were obviously concerned about doing it right. Overall good experience.

I realize a company is only as good as the people they hire but in this case,  I cannot in good conscience refer Comfort Windows for siding purposes to anyone.
I spent the better part of a year researching companies and obtaining quotes for vinyl siding on our bungalow.  After researching Comfort windows, including using Angie's  list, we set up an appointment to meet with their salesman in February 2013.  He came on a Saturday and was very personable and knowledgeable about the product and went into detail about the service they provide and what we could expect.  We decided to work with Comfort and placed our order.  At the end of March 2013, we were notified by the company that they were ready to install and we agreed they would start April 1, 2012.  They sent two-three men and it took two weeks to install the siding.  During the course of the two weeks, one rose bush was trampled and one lawn ornament was broken.  We did not complain about that as it is a small house and room to move around is tight, so we took the hit on those.  The job was completed by 4/12/13 and we paid in full.   Two weeks later we noticed the siding lifting above the bathroom window.  I called Comfort and they apologized and made an appointment to send someone out.  The very same day I made this call, I came home from work to find a piece of siding had fallen off the very peak of the house and was now on my front lawn.  My husband called that night, again received an apology.  They sent the same installer out and he told my husband they "forgot" to nail that piece in but we should be all set now.  Two weeks after this, the siding lifted up above the back door. Another telephone call.  Same installer back again.  Approximately three weeks after this, during a light rain, my husband sees something fall in the driveway.  He goes outside and finds a piece of siding has fallen off the peak of the dormer on our house and insulation is now dropping down out of corner pieces.  Now I was livid.  I called the company, did not want another apology and advised I wanted them to send someone to my home who knew what they were doing and not the person who installed it.  I wanted my home checked from top to bottom.  Three repairs in 11 weeks is totally unacceptable.
They scheduled an appointment for Thursday morning which means I took a 1/2 day off from work.  Thursday morning comes and I get a telephone call that they have to reschedule and they would like to do it for the following Monday.  I was furious and demanded a Saturday appointment.  She assured me they would send a Manager out Saturday to speak with us and make repairs.  Saturday comes and the manager and worker show up.  My husband loses his temper and starts to yell.  Comfort manager informs us he does not have to be there, doing us a favor, etc. etc.  I calm my husband down and proceed to discuss my issues with Comfort guy.   He and worker go over the house and I hear pounding.  When done, he assures me they I should not have any other problems.  Now, I wait and see and cringe every time it rains.
Side story:  Last year my next door neighbor had her house sided by a no name guy with a beat up truck and two teenage helpers.  She has not had a problem with her siding at all.   Me, the little worker ant, who does all the research gets the above.  All my neighbors think this is hysterical to the point that they now have a pool going to see which piece of my siding is going to fall off next.   Yup, it's a fun summer in the neighborhood.

The first time they did not order hinges that were the correct size. However, they replaced these. They came and made some corrections, including on my stairs. The whole job took a long time but they did good work. I sent some questions to them by mail but they said they did not receive any mail. Some of the workers they sent to do the work were very nice. I have a warranty for the work so, hopefully, everything will be fine.
