Excellent. Salesman Trevor evaluated my needs and made recommendations that optimized the use of my existing attachments. The price quoted was reasonable and the trade in allowance on my 10 year old tractor was fair. Modifications were made to my snow-blower and delivery was prompt and on time. Questions were resolved timely with interest and knowledge.

I wanted a Sub Compact Tractor to help first with snow removal and minor landscaping work. Trevor Heins was my guide through this process. He was professional and very knowledgeable making sure I got the right tractor and attachments for what I actually needed. He took the time to go over everything, show me everything and how it would be used and work. Trevor never over sold me, he listened to me and my needs and stirred me in the right direction. I highly recommend anyone to go to this company for their equipment needs and service, and be sure to speak with Trevor Heins !!! They delivery to my house was on time too.

I called Abeles because they were a local business close to my home and advertised lawn mower servicing and were on Angies List. I called the small engines manager told him what I needced and he said to bring thge mower in.  He filled out the paperwork authorizing them to service the mower which I signed. The servicng was tune up, oil change, change air filter, lube tranny and sharpen blades.  He THEN  said cost was $100.00 and it would be about 2 weeks.  I was shocked by the price and disappointed in the lenght of time I would be without the mower.  I am new at attending to my home and equipment needs and should have asked the cost and time out of service question before I brought the mower in.
I thought about how much the servicing cost was and found paperwork that said the mower was 15 years old and was increaingly harder  to push and without sef propelled.  In view of 2 weeks before it was ready I checked Consumer Reports that day and found $100.00 would be a good contributiom toward a new mower.  On Sat. I tried to call Abeles to tell them I did not want the mower fixed and I would pick it up.  There was not even an answering machine to leave a message.  It was the Memorial Day weekend so I called 9:30am Tuesday and told the small engines manager I had decided to buy a new mower an when could I pick the mower up, he said" anytime".
I arrived a t Abele's around 10:30am. one hour later  The manager asked my name and looked at the computer, and then said quietly," Oh, he already fixed it!"  I asked when did he fix it and what happened to the 2 week waiting time he told me about on friday? Had he fixed it on friday?  He said he hired a part time person on friday who apparently took my mower brought in that day and repaired it FIRST before all the other mowers in the backlog?  He then said," let me see if he finished the job."  He went to a small shed area talked to someone I could not see and said, " He finished it".  I told him I had acted on the information he had given me , "2 weeks wait" and told him I wasn't going to pay anything. In my conversation one hour before none of this information was shared.  The manager said;" he needed something in payment". After some discussion I told him the only thing I would do was to leave the mower, he said," he could do that".
The more I thought about it ,I should have taken the mower, I am sure I could have sold it for at least $50.00. I am suspicious of how I was treated, and in fact was the mower fixed at all or was it a ruse? Communication, job routing and how circumstances changed after I said I would pick the mower up was indicative of poor work management and total lack of knowing what was going on in their own shop.  Another aside, I priced the mower I was interested in from Consumer Reports at Abele's and they were $40.00 over other local businesses I had called for pricing.
