About us

518Landscapes operated by Brendan White, a native to the area, has been serving the capital region since 2004. Brendan has a background in landscaping and property management far before the start of his own business. He worked for a landscaping company in the Capital Region sharpening his skills and learning the trade during his summers off from school. He also worked for a local nursery expanding his knowledge of landscape plants and trees. From there his love and knowledge for landscaping and horticulture grew into a family owned and operated landscaping company in the Capital Region. Brendan is a NYS DEC certified pesticide technician. His desire to continue educating his employees and himself will help 518Landscapes create and maintain beautiful landscapes throughout the Capital Region for many years to come.

This provider is good if you want your grass cut weekly.  I did not get what I asked for when I had a special request, wanted to lower the number of visits or get an estimate for other services they said they offered.  
My last interaction with them was when my grass had gotten long and they were scheduled to come. The night before I had a tree fall in my backyard.  Rather than address the front only, they saw the tree in the back yard and left with the front embarrassingly long. They did not attempt to contact me even though I was home at the time. Considering the mediocrity of my previous interactions, I discontinued services.

I'm giving this service a very high rating because they come every week, rain or shine.  They are polite and work very hard.  They recently cleared out all the beds, mulched, trimmed the bushes and did whatever needed to be done.  My property looks beautiful.  I don't yet have the bill so I couldn't fill in the cost, but so far I have found them to be reasonable.  Brendan White responds promptly, although I seldom have reason to contact him.  I am very happy with every aspect of their service.

I called 518 landscapes and recieced a call back later the same day. Met with Mr.White the next day and discussed the scope of the project. He priced it reasonably I accepted and the crew began work the next day. I went to the jobsite and met the crew and was very impressed. This is a real professional company! The work was done beautifully and quickly. I highly recommend Brendan White and 518 Landscapes!

A few days after my contacting them, the owner stopped by and gave me a satisfactory estimate. The work crew showed up first thing the next morning and cleared my yard of leaves, pine needles, sticks and branches. Nice people. I plan on using them again for tree plantings.
