Electrical Service
$85,000
I engaged Chris Petti of this company as my general contractor in 2015 to perform a major renovation for my apt that includes kitchen, roof, and bathrooms. It is an arrangement where I purchased most of the items (e.g., toilet, kitchen closet, lighting, tiles, etc.) I need. The contractor requires constant supervision to make sure that he did not cut corners. For example, I identified light fixtures not properly mounted, wall power sockets without face plates, cracks on new wall tiles, etc. Nonetheless, I do not know what I do not know about apartment renovation, and wasn't able to spot every misdeed preemptively. Since the renovation, I continue to discover leaks and some workmanship issues. The contractor did respond to my initial call to return to fix some of these issues, but ignored my follow up calls when the issue wasn't adequately resolved, including major ones such as leaks due to the skylight contractor has mounted. Even though the contractor did not honor his agreement to guarantee his work, I gave a D instead of a F rating as the price offered by the contractor was competitive, and he was able to provide liability insurance coverage for the condo where my apt is located.
