The new name/owner is Cherrie's Salon. Cherrie gave me a not so good haircut and didn't listen to what I asked her to do, or should I say not do. I specifically told her not to cut my bangs and she hacked them off. It's very frustrating when you've been growing them out for months just up have someone chop them off. She also cut the front of my hair a few inches shorter than the back, when your hair isn't that long to begin with that makes it very difficult to fix.

I called to get a haircut/style on my thinning hair that I hate to fuss
with. I wanted someone who could cut it so that I can wash, blow dry and
go. I can't use styling aides too much as my skin is sensitive and so
the cut is critical. I was going to a lady in town but the expense was
too much (and I had to mess with it too much) for my downsized budget.
Needless to say, I had put this off too long and had been chopping my
hair (and bangs) myself. I was nervous about finding someone new as it
never seems to work out well.
The location was tricky to find - they are located in the same building as Sparks
Florist on Pyramid and Oddie.. You can't see it from Pyramid Way - best street to
take is and quot;I' St off of Pyramid. I suggest that you
get that bit of info BEFORE you go for your appt or allow a couple of extra minutes to
call and get the skinny on how to find them. Or google it if not familiar.
This was a great experience. I came
in and was handed a magazine for ideas and she consulted with me for
quite a while, giving me the pros and cons of a couple of style options. We
agreed to go with one and she did EXACTLY what she was intending and
described.
I love it! I can now use a big round brush (she showed me
how - no one had ever done that) to get volume without all the styling aides and it works great. The
cut is perfect - I can still pin it up with a clip as I like to do for a
more professional look. It was nice to have someone listen and pay
attention to my thoughts and really discuss the options. I felt like I
was important and the the cost was VERY reasonable for the level of
service.
Overall, I am thrilled and will go back for color and
cut in 6 weeks. There is a new owner and and the name changed. Cherrie's
I think it is now. Very nice woman who helped me, and I think they will
be successful. When I called I was able to make an appt for Saturday on short notice.

When I moved to Sparks, 16 years ago, I needed to find a good hairdresser that was good with thin, fine, hair. Before finding her, I had tried t least 6 other hairdressers, but was never really happy with any of them. And I didn't mind driving as far away s needed as long as I found the right person. Two of them were over 20 miles from Sparks.
I was just driving by the salon one day and because I really needed a perm and wasn't particularly happy with the person I had last used, went in. Back then, Cherrie was not the salon owner and it was under a different name. No hairdressers were there that day but the owner, who did not do hair, told me when I asked if there were a beautician who was good with my type of hair, that Cherrie was excellent and made me an appointment with her. She was and continues to be excellent. I know her salon will do great because of the quality of Cherrie and I know that she will make sure that the operators who she allows to rent space in the salon have her ethics and professionalism.
By the way - I have had a terrible time trying to post my review and now I have to put more information that makes this look like they are going to categorize it under home builders, so if you are looking for a home builder and get this, please tell Angies List so they will put it where it belongs - under Hair Dressers

She does exactly what you ask. There are not many hairdressers that do that anymore. I use her all the time. I have taken my neighbor to her and now I take my husband there.
