Kenny is an absolute joy to work with ? quick responses to calls & questions, good at calming the fears that come with big remodeling jobs and always punctual. I sent him an internet link to a 50?s knotty pine kitchen that I wanted to copy and what Kenny delivered is close enough. The finish is absolute perfection and although the style came out a little more modern than I was shooting for, I?m ultimately very happy. The only unforeseen glitches came from my looking over & approving Kenny?s drawings without my glasses. The uppers were shorter to allow for crown molding that I hadn?t wanted and couldn?t see on the plans. Only when the crew was installing did I notice & a call to Kenny had him suspend install and he came out the next day. He tweaked the molding & cabinet height and even remade one box that was too short which all took an extra week but I couldn?t be happier in the end. All pull-outs in the base cabs made plenty more storage anyway. He?s even come out a few times after the install to tweak or fix stuff. Four months later when the countertop company was out here measuring for an estimate they came across a glitch. I called Kenny and he came right away and fixed it before the countertop guy left. That kind of service is worth what seemed like a kinda high price. Recommend!!!

First Rate all the way.  Always on time and punctual.  Build a large entertainment center.  Beautiful.  Details like LED lighting, easy access spaces for cables and electronic component hook ups, moved wall outlets for easy access, black melamine behind TV, mounted TV on articulating arm for us and made TV space large enough to accommodate a larger TV later if desired.  Matched the cabinet design prevailing in the house perfectly and matched the hardwood in the house perfectly.  Finish detail is impeccable.
Also replaced the metal breakfast bar supports with beautiful wood corbels, built a mantel for our fireplace and build a frame around a very large mirror in the dining room.  All with the same detail and finish expertise as the entertainment center.
These guys are really master craftsmen.  It's pretty impressive to watch what they can do.  Had to wait about 4 weeks from design until install but well worth it.

It took Ken and Kirby just shy of six weeks to complete all the work.  So impressed we were with 
the quality and timeliness of the project, that we commissioned Ken to construct a custom cabinet 
for the television niche and a custom mantelpiece for the family room adjacent to the kitchen and
informal dining area. We also engaged Kirby to paint the family room, two hallways, living room,
formal dining area, including ceilings for each, as well as to furnish and install fully 
enclosed-LED
lighting in multiple locations.
In addition to recommending Kirby, Ken also suggested that we might wish to visit Standards of 
Excellence from whom we bought our appliances (www.kitchenandplumbing.com/standards-of- 
excellence).       Moreover, Ken thought that Advanced Countertop Design 
(www.advancedcountertop.com) could provide the quality quartz countertops we had decided to 
purchase.  A major reason for this decision is that once these kinds of countertops are installed, 
they never need to be resealed.  This feature, in our opinion, makes them superior to granite 
countertops, and in addition, we had a vast range of patterns and colors to choose from.
The total cost of the remodel was about $60,000, and this included all the work outlined in the 
fourth and fifth paragraphs of this review.   The cost of Ken?s portion of the work was about
$35,000. The remainder of the cost was for Kirby?s work; purchase of the appliances; acquisition of 
Italian floor tiles, lighting other than that provided by Ken; and the sink and associated hardware 
and garbage disposal.
We highly recommend Ken for the following reasons:
?    He is very professional and it is obvious that he is extremely knowledgeable about wood, 
design, and the process of applying finishes.
?    He sets realistic schedules, but is quick to alert his clients if a situation adversely 
impacts the flow of work.
?    He is a perfectionist, and even though he didn?t install any of the cabinets (except for 
installation of the cabinet lighting), he carefully reviewed the completed work and spent more than 
an adequate amount of time making sure that everything was to our satisfaction.
?    There were no hidden costs and no surprises.
?    He can make immediate changes or replace defects as his shop is located locally and his major 
cabinet vendor is in northern California.
?    His recommendations for the services of Kirby Fisher and the various vendors was stellar, and 
their work was of the highest quality.
?    He is a person of integrity!

He was a little more expensive than some others that we'd gotten bids on, but the work was completely worth it!

I cannot believe what a pleasure it was to work with Ken Goff and his crew. Ken was honest about when something would be ready and he and his crew always arrived on time and ready to work. They never left for the day until their work space was just as it was when they arrived.

Whenever I asked a question, or came up with another item to be added or changed, there was never a problem. I cannot tell you what a pleasure it was to actually work with someone who still possesses a work ethic and strives to make the customer not only happy, but you can tell that he enjoys what he is doing and takes pride in the outcome.
I highly recommend Unique Design for anyone who has a kitchen where they are tired of getting on their knees and removing items from their lower cupboards to get to the item that is in the back. Not only is that a waste of time, but it is totally unnecessary, as Ken's company can put in rollouts that look like they were original to the cupboards. I could go on and on, just if you need some cabinetry work done, do yourself a favor and give Ken Goff a call. You will never regret it.
