I was referred to Rocky Mountain Builders by a satisfied customer in Tonopah -- it seems they do good work all over northern Nevada.
They came to the house twice -- once to take measurements to provide the estimate; second time to do the installation. We wanted the new door to qualify for the energy-savings tax credit. They were able to offer us several choices that would qualify, and were able to schedule the installation before the end of the tax year.
The installation team showed up exactly on time. They removed the old sliding glass door and frame, and disposed of it for us. They installed the new set-up quickly and efficiently and cleaned up after themselves. Total time, about half a day. They were very nice about me watching and asking questions. I can be as bad as a small kid, that way.
The widow and screen are mounted in vinyl. The frame around that, which joins the window and screen to the inside and outside wall of our house, is wood. They left the wood bare and we painted it ourselves a few days later. That was as planned; if you are having new doors or windows installed be sure to ask about that.
I'm a little disappointed that the new door has less viewing area than the old. That is, fewer square inches of glass and more square inches of opaque frame in the same opening. But that was an issue with all double-pane windows we looked at when we shopped around.
In the half-year since installation the window has performed just fine. Hot/cold insulating is good. No drafts or leaks. The door and screen slide smoothly and easily on the tracks.

Charles Winfield, Superintendent, designed the project, took care of getting the appropriate building permit and completed the project in the stated time. Most remarkably, everything was cleaned up and when the workers left. Definitely I would hire this company again.
