Mr. Rooter lied to me and didn't do the work they had been paid to do. I paid Mr. Rooter $4000 to replace the sewer line at my house. Their bid clearly stated, "replace sewer line from the house to the city main". Two years later I began having sewage backups. I discovered that Mr. Rooter's sewer line replacement stopped 3 feet short of the city main line. Those three feet now have root intrusion and need to be replaced. The owner, Jerry Enwald, sent me a letter admitting that their replacement did not go all the way to the city main line. He then claimed he talked to a City Inspector who told him "anything five (5) feet off of the City Main Line is considered the city main line". Therefor, he wrote, they had fulfilled the contract. This is like an Uber driver stopping five blocks from your house and saying "anything 5 blocks from your house is considered your house". It's untrue and it's fraud. I even talked to the city inspector who he quoted. The Inspector told me he never said anything of the sort. These people are liars and cons. Do not hire them. They underbid the competition by not actually doing the work.
Response from Mr Rooter Plumbing of Reno Sparks
"Mr. [Member Name Removed], Thank you for raising your concerns. Your input helps us be a better service provider in the future. Respectfully, we have a difference in opinion. Some of your statements are misleading. For example, the estimate was provided Dec. 2017. The job was completed Jan. 2018 based upon discussions with you as to cost(s) involved and pros and cons relative to field conditions and what the scope of the work would or would not be. Encroachment (permits and inspection vis-a-vis tapping the City Main) is not stated or itemized on your invoice. This indicates that there was no intent to tap the City Main. In fact, Mr. Rooter Plumbing did not tap the Main and did not pull a permit to tap the City Main. If Mr. Rooter expected to do go to the City Main, these actions would have occurred in the days prior to work commencing. When Mr. Rooter Plumbing camera'd and located the line recently, Mr. Rooter Plumbing verified that Mr. Rooter Plumbing did not tap the City Main and told you that clearly. Is this the action of liars and cons? From our perspective, the line has been fine for 4 years. February 2022, your property manager/agent called to say that a review of the sewer line was requested. The property manager, Mr. Lundahl, was asked if there were any issues with the line. Mr. Lundahl said, "No." We are happy to take the line to the City Main and will pull permits relative to doing that with appropriate costs of doing so factored in. Obviously, price and value was a primary concern in January 2018 as much as it is now. Mr. Rooter Plumbing tries to give customers options. It is your responsibility to understand the contract. Nevertheless, we regret any dissatisfaction you are now experiencing. Mr. Rooter wants to meet or exceed your expectations and we apologize for missing the mark."

Repair excellent. They postponed service because of problems on a repair before mine. they did not show up for the re-scheduled appointment. I had to call them to find out why they were not here. They had forgotten the appointment. They did come over within 2 hours and did an excellent job.

The service man came to my property and did a thorough clean-out of the sewer line. I paid him over the phone with a credit card and ask that they send me an invoice.  They never did.
After my review was posted on Angie's List, one of the Mr. Rooter office staff called me and asked me what the problem had been.  I told her, and she mailed me an invoice while we were still on the phone. Great follow-up service!

Arrived on time, gave estimate for work. Went to supply store for some specialized parts, like low flow toilet guts that were under manufactures warranty and dual flow air gap. Charged below initial estimate.

Brian Showers was leading the project. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a professional, articulate, and knowledgeable plumber. He took the time to understand our project and genuinely empathized with our problem. He understood our budget and gave us several options based on realistic expectations. He managed the project to a tee and ensured that his crew was there working at the times he told us to complete the project. This was important to us as we had a new born in the house and we needed the plumbing to work ASAP. I would recommend Mr. Rooter only because of Brian.

Job began 4/28/09. Tech began with washer/dryer install. Tech did NOT vent for washer and to date has done NOTHING re: dryer yet it was on my agreed work order and included in the estimate. No deduction has been taken off for the fact he did NOTHING re: dryer. He DID come back and vent the washing machine box but tore up my kitchen wall in the meantime. NV State Contractors Board required Mr. Rooter to come back and replace drywall. After making more damage to my lathe/plaster wall, Mr. R. put drywall in backwards then did NOT tape or texture. I still have large gaps (1" across, 6" down) of exposed broken lathe/plaster. THEN, the small job in basement of replacing 5' of cast iron has resulted in a TOTAL disaster! Nothing needed done in my bathroom before Mr. R arrived but in the process of replacing the 5' of cast iron the tech shifted the original plumbing layout by at least 4" thereby "tweaking" the rest of the plumbing. That 4" shift caused leaking from shower and "water closet" (toilet). Tech was going to replace wax ring but in the process broke my 1980's period toilet. NOW I needed a new toilet. Tech got and installed a white one while ALL other fixtures in bathroom are Kohler's Desert Bloom so now I have a white elephant in my pink bathroom. In setting the toilet, the Tech tore up my 1959 period tile! Mr. Rooter wants ME to pay for the toilet that I did NOT NEED prior to their arrival AND they are unwilling to take responsibility for the tile. My estimates for repairing the destruction caused by Mr. Rooter is in excess of $3000.00 not to mention the fact that I've searched EVERYWHERE and am unable to replace the toilet with a matching one which leaves with me with a white elephant in my bathroom OR having to replace all other fixtures to match. So NOW we're talking a $7000.00 - $10000.00 tab for partial remodel. I've dealt with everyone from the Better Business Bureau to NV State Contractors Board to the Mr. Rooters Corporation President over franchising. My job was started 4/28/09, it's now 7/1/09 and I STILL have no use of washer/dryer, I STILL have broken/jagged tile surrounding my toilet and entrance/exit to shower. And please note, I paid my bill in full. My only recourse is to take the owners of the local Mr. Rooters to small claims court and post this information on any and all websites so as to forewarn other consumers. BUYER BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. Use someone, ANYONE else!

Called plumber at about 9:30 AM, They said they could be here between 12 and 2. Showed up at 2PM. Shower handle not working very well in master bath. I tried to repair it myself only made it worse. The service technician (Brad) looked over faucet turned water off and proceded to repair it. Over all it took him about thirty minutes to do the job. Now the faucet workes as it should.
