We are a family owned and operated business started in 1978. Our primary focus is excellent service and quality add-on replacement of all forms of heating and air conditioning equipment. We were the first Bryant factory authorized dealer in the nation and the only Bryant factory authorized dealer in Northern Nevada. Extremely disappointed with my recent experience with DeHart. I chose them based on their positive reviews, but my experience was far from satisfactory. I had them replace two bathtub faucet core valves, and after joining their "Love Club" membership at an additional cost of $199 per year, I received a 20% discount on the repair. Despite this discount, I was still charged a staggering $762 for the repair. This brought the total cost to $961, including the membership fee. The membership claims to offer warranty and insurance for their work and parts, but here’s the catch: you must remain a member indefinitely to benefit from it. If you decide to leave, you forfeit the supposed warranty. I initially assumed the repair would be complex and the parts costly, but I later found that the two faucet valve core parts can be purchased online for only $25 each. When I expressed my concerns to customer service, I spoke with Randy, who defended the pricing as "fair and standard" due to the lifetime warranty. However, this warranty only applies if you continue paying $199 annually for the membership. This experience felt like a complete ripoff. The repair was overpriced, and the membership terms are misleading. I regret choosing DeHart Plumbing, Heating, & Air based on their reviews and urge others to be cautious before committing to their services.

Extremely Disappointed. We'd been with Powell for over 20 years and had always been happy and trusted them. This June, however, we were VERY disappointed. The tech came and we asked him to clean the electrical filter, but he said no. They don't do that, they don't need done. Even after all these years of it being cleaned? He also didn't even change the regular air filter, he just glanced in the ceiling where it's located and said it didn't need cleaned. He was here a very short time and we felt totally gypped. My husband did write the company to explain why we would no long do business with them, and got no response. We just want to alert customers to think twice about using Powell anymore.

The tech arrived the same morning about 2 hours after my call. He found a bad capacitor, which he replaced. He also, cleaned the unit and tested it. The unit started working immediately and cooled down the house and all occupants.

Great! Powell Heat and Air always does an outstanding job when I contact them for any service. Dealing with Monte Forbes (service tech) and Rebecca Ott (Office) is always a pleasure. I have used this firm for many years for all my heating and air condition service, and I have never been disappointed. Monte is exceptionally talented when it comes to technical problem and Rebecca makes the office run like clock.

First thing they did right was answer their phone. A friendly
receptionist took my call and offered me several time slots, including
right away. Monte and Rick were here in two hours. The downstairs A/C
unit had a bad capacitor, which they replaced. They inspected the other
unit as well, tested everything, gave me some good advice, and were
done in 30 or 40 minutes. All in time for this afternoon's warm
weather. They were friendly and professional.

Perfect as usual: Competent, prompt, professional.
I have used Powell for decades for my homes and office building and have never been let down. In 1997 we had a flood in the river 1 block from my office. The crawl space was flooded on New Year's Day and of course the furnace went out. The next morning Cliff Powell was at the building and pumped out the space. When it was dry enough he crawled under the building and cleaned all the silt out from the duct work and filters. We were back in business within a day, far sooner than just about anyone else in my situation.
Darrell runs the business now that Cliff has retired, and the service has remained impeccable. The same people have worked for them for years and we know them by name. I would never use anyone else in the Reno-Sparks area.

Monte Forbes always does an excellent job for me. Hs showed up on time on three different occasions and made all the correct determinations and adjustments. Then, he returned in order to tweak and fine tune his adjustments once the system had run for a day or so. Powell Heating always provides excellent service for me and Monte is extremely knowledgeable about all facets of heating and air units.
Powell has serviced my home for a n number of years and each time I call Rebecca and set up an appointment for them to do my service, it always turn out really, really well.
Yes, I would highly recommend their services to anyone who asked me.
P.S. the price I stated for the job is only a guess on my part as I have not yet received the bill, but I am sure it will be fair, as it always is.

Everything went extremely well. The crew of 5 arrived approximately 30 minutes late do to a back up at the metal fabricators shop. From then on everything went perfectly. The old units were taken out and carted away. Overhanging bushes were cut away from the new A/C compressor and equipment was installed. A small trench was dug under my condo and a new pipe was installed to carry away the and quot;condensateand quot;. This had not been done 37 years ago, and had not been in the cost of the installation. The furnace was installed, hooked up to the thermostat, and the job was done.
The whole job was completed in 5 hours. The place was completely cleaned up. The heat/cool schedule was set up for me. The bill was presented and I paid it in full. A JOB VERY WELL DONE.
I have been using the new system for about a year now. I was comfortable both summer and winter. MUCH more comfortable than I had been with the old units. AND THE POWER BILL WENT DOWN A LITTLE ON THE BUDGET PLAN. HURRAH !!!

I called Powell at 8am and they sent a service tech to our house by 10am. The technician was very professional and performed a complete system check of the HVAC. I feel that they are an honest fail company and have no problem recommending them in the future. They should get the highest accolades from Angie's list.

Made an appointment for June 20th at 1 o'clock with Rebecca who is in the office. Monte and helper arrived at that time and date and proceeded to carry out the work in an excellent and timely fashion.
Skillfully took care of all my issues at a reasonable price. What more can one ask of a service provider?

I called on a Friday to schedule a time for a quote. Darrel was able to schedule a time the following Monday at a time that was convenient for me. He gave me a half hour time window and arrived promptly at the early end of that window. No waiting! After assessing the situation and making some recommendations, he told me he would call me back with a quote. Within a half hour he had quotes ready for the two options we had discussed. Darrel's estimate was lower than two other contractors I had contacted - and for a more efficient unit than the others. He was able to schedule the job within a few days. The work was started right on time and completed quickly. Everything was cleaned up nicely when they were finished. And..the system works like a dream, and I'm looking forward to a nice cool summer. I highly recommend this company.

Appointment was made and Monte showed up exactly as planned. Check over the hydronic heating system including the boiler and system supply. Work was excellent and fast. Price was excellent for the work performed. Everything was prompt and on time.
