Propane is expensive! Energy overall is expensive this year, regardless of where you buy it. It is not AmeriGas's fault, but I'm not entirely sure that they do much to help to keep the price down. They have provided timely and mostly hassle free delivery to me for years. A couple of years ago they were trying to insist that I move the tank that they placed on my property, but when I stated that it would be under their own expense, because they placed it where it is at in the first place, they acquiesced to not have it moved.
