Purchased a new heater 3 years ago, the heater is no longer working they came out said it needed two new parts. This happened on Sunday 11/9. We were told the parts would be here 11/10. That was not the case. When we called they said they would not be here till 11/15. The parts finally arrived and guess what the heater is still not fixed. They stated another part is needed. They said that they would be back 11/18. They did not come back. heater is still not working, and from what we are being told they may not be able to fix it till 11/22. This is ridiculous. It's a new heater we should not have issues like this and the service has been less then par. It's freezing temps have ranged from 18-50 out side. Worst company to work with. Extremely disappointing!! Having to run space heaters to keep from freezing so the power bill will be very expensive. They should be paying for all this extra expense. On top of it we had to purchase the space heaters to just get by. What a joke.

In January, 2024, our heater started acting up, only working intermittently, and subsequently we had a new heater installed. All employees were courteous, hard-working, and respectful of our home. On January 8 service techs Dwayne and Christopher (apprentice) arrived on time, inspected our heater and recommended replacing it. Dwayne showed us several options, including price and warranty information. After we made our choice, we paid a deposit and scheduled the heater installation for Jan 10. Dwayne was kind enough to return later with an electric heater we could use in the meantime. On January 10, installers Todd and Brandon (apprentice) arrived at about 10:30 a.m., a half-hour later than the quoted arrival time of 8 – 10 to install our new heater, which had been estimated to take 3 – 5 hours. They ran into some problems and were there until about 7:30 p.m. as the new heater did not work. They exchanged the mother board, contacted other service techs at All Hours Air for advice, and also contacted tech support from Daikin, the heater’s manufacturer, to no avail. Their next attempt to fix it would be to exchange another part (something to do with the thermostat and elevation), which they would do the next day after receiving the part. They (and two additional apprentices) arrived the next day, exchanged the part, and the heater still did not work. After several hours and phone calls, they said a service tech would come the next day for further evaluation. They also brought an additional electric heater for us to use (which didn’t work, as did the first electric heater the next morning – luckily we had a few of our own and a gas fireplace with a blower). On January 12, Dwayne arrived to change the mother board again. After inspecting the newly-installed heater, he realized the problem was not with the mother board but something to do with the configuration of the heater installation. He was able to fix the heater in a fairly short time and we had heat once again. Special kudos to Dwayne for his excellent investigative skills and resolution. I don’t fault Todd for not being able to make the heater work as he is an installer, not a service technician, and the skill sets are different. He tried very hard to find a solution by asking advice of his co-workers and tech support. I’d recommend All Hours Air for HVAC services.

LIES AND GREED. I was considering an air conditioner tune up for my 4 ton Rheem air conditioner and called All Hours Air based on a recommendation from a family member. I should have called another company when Winter could not clearly articulate what a tune-up consisted of but I scheduled an appointment anyway. Nick showed up promptly at 8:00 A.M. and I showed him where the air conditioner was and asked what a tune-up consisted of. He said he would take some readings and then rinse my air conditioner. So that’s what you get from an All Hours Air tune-up, readings and a rinse. After a short time Nick asked if he could use a hose to rinse my air conditioner as he had neglected to bring one which I found only slightly amusing. When Nick finished “tuning up” my air conditioner he recommended replacement of two components, a contactor at $425.00 and a fan motor at $1,425.00 for a total of $1,850.00. I thought that was a lot for an air conditioner that worked just fine but he said the fan motor “might have another year” and that if the connector failed, then the compressor, which is the most expensive part, would likely fail as well. I asked Nick what a new air conditioner costs and he told me $13,000. He also told me that he recently replaced 2 air conditioners at his own 3-story home at a cost of $27,000 with his employee discount. Next, he offered me a 10% discount and after some consideration $1,665.00 sounded fair and reasonable so I OK’ed the repair. Nick said he could come back the next day, which worked well as my wife would be home. When I got home from work the following day, I asked my wife how it went and she said that Nick was here for about an hour, replaced the parts, took our money, and left. He did not leave an invoice or receipt however, which I thought was strange. The following morning, I noticed that Nick had failed to properly secure the air conditioners access panel, which he removed, leaving a gap between the air conditioner and access panel. I found a small screw and secured it myself, which took no more than one minute. I also found the box that the contactor came in and Googled it. Shockingly, I found that I could buy the very same part that Nick quoted me $425.00 for $9.00. [*** Link removed ***] I then Googled the exact same fan motor that Nick installed and found one for $161.99 [*** Link removed ***] Nick quoted me $1,425.00. Then I Googled Rheem 4 ton air conditioner and found a brand new one for $2,125.00, almost what I paid for the installation of 2 minor parts. [*** Link removed ***] Nick misled me by grossly exaggerating the cost of a new air-conditioner. Had he been honest, I most certainly would not have OKed the parts replacement. Nick charged us over $1,800 to spend about an hour replacing $171.00 worth of parts. I called All Hours Air to voice my concerns and Winter told me “Well, we are a premium business.” I asked to speak with ownership and she repeated “We ARE a premium business.” What?! “Premium business” must be an All Hours Air euphemism for LIES AND GREED. Adding insult to injury, I Asked Winter if she could send me the invoice, which she did, and not surprisingly, I found that Nick had actually charged me $465.00 for the $9.00 connector, not $425.00 as he had quoted me, plus he added in a service call fee of $129.00. So much for the promised 10% discount. Winter said she would have Nick call me. It’s been 6 days and I have yet to hear from Nick. And, I don’t expect to. One other thing. Nick said he would send my Aunt a $50 gift card for her recommendation. As of now, Nick has not done that. And, I don’t expect him to. I cannot recommend All Hours Air. Please, do yourself a favor, learn from my mistake and call someone else. You’ll be glad you did.

"All due respect sir. We did not price gouge you or take a vantage of you. You called us. We told you upfront that it would be $79 plus repairs. When you needed us we were there with a fully stocked truck and had the parts to repair your air conditioner on the spot. You signed and excepted the repair before our technician started the work. Now that the urgency is over. You’re not happy with the job? Our expert is highly paid and highly trained and knew exactly what the problem was and was able to fix it quickly. I called All Hours Air on Saturday night around 11:00 PM and I was surprised that I had a person answer the phone answering my questions this late at night. He explained to me immediately to turn off the circuit to my air conditioner to prevent anything worse happening. He offered to repair it that same night, but he warned me that it will cost me much more money on the weekend. I decided to wait until Monday to schedule a time for All Hours Air to come out and repair the disconnect box. On Monday morning I called All Hours Air at 8:00 to schedule an appointment. I was expecting to have them not be able to schedule a repair until the following week. Much to my surprise they were able to come out to my home the same day I called a little after 3:00. I was super happy that they could fix my problem immediately rather than waiting for weeks for somebody to come out to my home. Michael arrived at my home on time on September 14 at around 3:00 to ask me questions and immediately knew what to do to fix the problem. He replaced the disconnect box and recommended me to purchase a surge protector. He was very up front with the extra cost not originally quoted in the repair. I went with his suggestion and got that installed. He then informed me that the air conditioner compressor needs to be checked along with the coolant system. He offered me to purchase in addition a coolant lubricant to clean out the system. I opted to have this service done. Michael explained to me that this will make the compressor work more efficiently with less strain on the compressor and make it quieter. I was a little put back with the cost of the repair. I didn’t expect to pay $1836 for the repair, but with the extra recommendations it raised the price. Michael repaired everything in less than 2 hours and my air conditioner was working properly again. About a week later on the weekend after the repair I was concerned when I noticed the air compressor had short cycled turning on and off and was worried that my compressor was going bad. To prevent any further damage I turned off the circuit to the compressor and turned off the breaker. I called them immediately on Monday and Michael came back to my house a few days later to assess the situation. He tested all the circuits, wires, and did his pressure tests. He discovered that the temperature of the copper tubing was not acting normally and the levels were abnormal. Evidently the lubricant did its job, but the dirt and grime that it cleaned out got clogged up in the filter drier as it circulated back to the air compressor. Michael explained to me that I had a choice to replace the filter drier, but he would have to cut the line and push the coolant through the tubing to allow him to repair it. He was very upfront that the method may not work and it is a risk, but I went for it and it turned out fine. That costed me another $400. So my total repair since I called All Hours Air was $2200 for the two visits. I thought that was a high price, but the thorough job they did on the repair justified it. I was very pleased with Michael’s professionalism and educating me about all things AC in simplified terms. He was patient and kind answering all my questions. He allowed me to watch and learn what he was doing and I never felt like he was rushing through the job, but being very thorough through tests and other means to make sure my air conditioner was working perfectly. I was super impressed how fast he worked, but he explained everything in a clear and meaningful way what he was exactly doing. As Michael recognized the problems I experienced and the high cost I already paid from his first visit he gave me a discount on his service as well as included a yearly maintenance plan as part of the quote from the 2nd repair. He felt concerned about the filter drier clogging up and felt bad after he recommended to clean up the coolant system with the lubricant. He didn’t realize it would remove so much gunk and clog up the drier filter. The good news is my air conditioner is working as if it is brand new. It runs quieter and works way better with the new thermostat. I hope my compressor that is over 20 years old continues to work well otherwise it will be a major cost to replace with a new air conditioning unit. As a bonus he checked my Nest thermostat that I just installed to make sure everything was set properly. I am very pleased with All Hours Air and would highly recommend them to repair any plumbing, AC, Heater, or other issues. They were very prompt and kind with their service. They are a little pricey, but you get what you pay for and their service proves it. I couldn’t be more happy that my HVAC system is working better than ever. Thank you All Hours Air for your awesome service. They already came out for my maintenance plan to service my furnace and didn’t they find any problems.
