Weakland's Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. has been servicing the Reno-Sparks, and surrounding areas since 1991. Our goal is to maintain complete customer satisfaction by providing consistent top quality service. We specialize in residential and light commercial heating, air conditioning and ventilation. Our specialties include building from the ground up, retrofits, all repairs, service and preventative maintenance of all HVAC equipment. Our company employs journeymen level service technicians and installers. We also provide fast and friendly 24-hour emergency service 7-days a week, in order to take care of you when you need us the most. Our calls are not answered by an answering service. You will get to speak personally with a family member who will always remember your name and recognize our long time customers and will welcome all new customers. We service most major makes and models of equipment and provide competitive planned service agreements in order to help maximize the life of your equipment. Thank God this thing was in the garage, so the leak didn't really do very much damage. The old unit had to be drained and disconnected, and then lifted off the platform it was on in the garage. After 15 years of sediment build-up, these things are d*** heavy, so one of Kurt's helpers came to the house and between them they removed the old unit and lifted the new one into place
Kurt put down a piece of plywood on top of the platform under the new water heater, because over the years leaks had made the OSB that was there weak. He installed the new unit. which of course was a different height, so some of the plumbing had to be changed out. He installed a drain pan under the new unit (the old one didn't have one). He installed earthquake straps (the old unit only had one, and it had come detached from the wall). And of course he re-connected the propane line and re-plumbed the pressure relief valve
After all that, he fired up the new unit, bled the air from the lines, and checked everything to be sure it was working. This unit has a Honeywell electronic gas valve, so he showed me how that worked, and how to relight the pilot if needed. He checked the propane pressure to be sure that it was correct (our propane comes from a tank, and sometimes the regulator gets out of adjustment) He and his wife then hauled away the old unit, all the debris, and cleaned everything up.
It all works well, and it is a much more professional installation than we had before.

They laid down tarps on the floors, cleaned up after themselves each day, on time, friendly, kept in good communication on how the job was going, used quality parts and materials, etc,etc,etc!
This is the type of company you want working on your home...PERIOD!!

I don't like the buyers remorse feeling you get when you have a set amount of money to spend and then a salesman comes to your house and after he left you spent triple the amount of money you wanted to spend. For that reason Weakland's does not have sales people. All bids are give by the owner. If you need a furnace, we bid you for a furnace only, not an EAC, water heater, A/C and humidifier or whatever else they can try and get out of you. Thank you for the great comment. I have used Weakland's a couple of times in the past ten years and this job went, as the others have, very very smooth. They are nice people to work with.
I gave the Weakland's a "B" on their price because I've always thought they were a little high on parts costs.

We hire very experienced service technicians and they have to have ongoing training because of this we pay our workers high wages. You also know the owner Kirk is still out there turning wrenches.
