After visiting several carpet sellers, The Home Depot had the best selection and pricing for the type of carpeting that was sought.  Sales personnel were patient and helpful in selecting appropriate product.  A different department handled the scheduling for measurements, and the installers subsequently appeared on schedule and worked very quickly to finish the job in less than a day.  The house was cleaned up, and new carpet was installed nicely and is withstanding constant use without any problems.
