Greg was one of the first to come out to take a look at the tree after I called. Just about every tree service was booked (including him) but he made time to come out considering our emergency situation. I had other tree services provide expensive estimates while trying to use fear as a selling point. Other tree services wanted to bring in big unnecessary equipment and most of them couldn't grind the stump. Greg got the medium sized tree down all by himself in a flash and ground down the stump the next day no problem. He made it look easy. Really glad I called Greg.

I was referred to Greg by Angie’s list. He came out and gave me a quote the same day I left a message. He completely removed my stump, cleaned up the area and gave me some pointers on how to plant something in the spot. I would highly recommend Sierra Stumpbusters.

Greg did a great job. Fast, friendly and informative. I had tried to get others out and they either would not call me back or scheduled too far out. This was a quick job and Greg did well at clean up and talking through what needed to be done. I cannot recommend higher.

Tree was removed in 2 hrs or so and after his exceptional cleanup, there were no signs that a tree had been cut down.  His cleanup and tree cutting were superior!

Greg also ground out two stumps!   Expert work and very professional cleanup!   He moved irrigation water lines and capped them so that no debris could enter the pipes!   

I recommend Greg to all in need of expert professional help!

He was fantastic. He came out and gave us a fantastic quote for a job that we've had quotes for twice as much. He removed all the brush, limbs, and ground out the stump. After he was finished he cleaned everything up and raked all the disturbed soil back to level. Overall, if you need any thing done in your yard, give him a call, I wasn't disappointed and I'm sure you wouldn't be either

He was very efficient and understanding.  He told me the options I had as to regards to my tree.  He cut it up for firewood which I requested and helped me put it in my backyard.  He cleaned up the area and disposed of all the branches as well.  I would hire him again and recommend him highly.  He also plants trees and had recommendations for possible transplants where the old tree had been.

First off, want to say that we are new to Reno and have used Angie's List to find many providers in our area. Everyone we've used from Angie's list has shown up on time, done what they said they'd do, given us an honest price and done good work. I'm very grateful for Angie's List. I called Sierra Stumpbusters to have a tree removed, bushes (and stumps) removed, and have several other stumps ground out. Gregory showed up promptly after contact and gave us a written estimate of what it would cost to have the work done. The price was very, very fair. It had snowed recently so the work was done 7-10 days later when all the snow was gone and the temps had warmed. Greg did a BEAUTIFUL job. Everything was cut out, stumps were gone, and there wasn't one leaf, branch or twig left. All the landscaping was smoothed over; it looked as if he had never been there. AND! In grinding out one of the stumps, he accidentally ran into our outdoor lighting wiring; he repaired it, no problem. He also cut out a couple of stumps without cost for us. Greg is my "go to" tree person from this point forward. Oh, and BTW, he also said that if I wanted help in planting new trees, his company does that as well. I am very happy with his work and his professionalism...and to top it off, he's a very pleasant individual to deal with. All in all, a win-win!

1. Greg was very friendly and professional.  He provided an estimate after looking at the stump.  He had other jobs, but called about a week later when he could come do the job.  The stump removal was perfect. Then he noticed we had a new tree and several shrubs waiting to be planted and offered to use his equipment to dig the holes for a reasonable price.  Since we are busy moving into our new property, that was great!  The digger broke into an irrigation line (we didn't know where they are), but he returned the next day to fix it and even added a drip line to that bush.  He even planted the tree for us, and gave advice about watering the other trees on our property.  We definitely recommend Greg and Sierra Stumpbusters.

Greg was awesome! he went above and beyond in removing my stump.  I will be adding a water feature so I needed the stump ground at least a foot below grade.  Greg worked hard to make sure the area for my water feature was free of all tree roots and rocks.  He also cleaned the site thoroughly.  After he was finished you could not even tell that there had been a tree there.

Work went very well.  Arrived in a timely manner to discuss job and price.  Arrived next day to do the job.  Took 1 1/2 days. Cut tree down first day and ground stump and roots the second day. Did a great job.  Very pleasant and professional.

came same within 30 min to give me a quote. Nice man and From the start his price was fair. A+ on communication professionalism. went above and beyond on this job. Need some trees taken out and will use him again!

The whole process went extremely well, Greg was very timely and efficient each step of the way, he cleaned up, was professional and it was a pleasure working with him. The work was started and completed in a timely manner.

Greg did the job himself; and he was exceptionally prompt, conscientious, and industrious (in that he could have simply planted the new tree over the rocks, since he had already bid the job without knowing about the rocks). And all of this was done in 85 degree heat, which caused me to sweat during the short time I watched him work. 

In fact I was so pleased with his work and work-ethic that I compensated him for the unanticipated work - even though he didn't ask for extra compensation.

The 3 person crew arrived right on time at 8 am and quickly got to work. they did a very professional job and I am very pleased with the way the elm trees turned out. They look good and any they removed any dangerous/dead  branches that could cause potential harm to mine or my neighbors property. The price they quoted me was the price I was charged, which was 1/2 as much as the next cheapest quote I got from another company. Very good price wise and quality wise! The only small complaint I would have concerns the small grove of trees they took care of as well. They cut them down right above ground level and left the root base, which I could have easily done with a chainsaw myself. Now this spring I'll have to go and dig out the roots myself. This is a SMALL complaint though, because for the price I wouldn't have even expected them to deal with those the small grove anyways. Would definitely us we and recommend again!

When Greg came to give me an estimate, he was concerned because NV Power left a dead limb (4 feet lone and 5 inches in diameter) just hanging in the tree. He gave me an estimate and then immediately pulled the offending branch down before he left. The following Saturday he completed the job professionally and cleaned up and hauled the branches to the dump.

They are very knowledgeable and  know what they are doing. Yes, we would use them again.

We've had other trees removed but not so much at such a reasonable price, written pricing, very quick and handled everything in a professional manner.  Pleasant to do business with.

Greg did an awesome job! They came out the same day I requested a estimate and was very polite and presented the estimate before leaving. The price was so fair that we decided to award him the job without looking further. He was here the next morning as promissed and removed 3 evergreen pine shrubs that had been in the ground for 10 years. This is what promted me to call Sierra Stumpbusters as I had started to try and dig one out myself and quickly realised this was more than what I wanted to tackle!!
Greg was proffessional and removed a total of 6 stumps, and did a total cleanup of the area hauling it all away when he was done.
I would highly reccommend him to anyone that needs this type of work or tree service.
