Got an estimate and it was about $1000 less than others I have gotten in past years. The over lay of black top was about 1 inch thick and the edging was fine but I told him I wanted it as smooth as glass. In spots it was not. After it was done I was told that it was not possible to get it that smooth because he was unable to control the mixture from the asphalt supplier. The seal coat pretty much made it smooth. I have to admit I am a perfectionist and may have been asking for more than could be reasonably achieved with out spending thousands more.
