Same as always. We call and ask about options and cost. They give us requested info. We schedule and drop off a vehicle and they call when it is done and we pay for service. Easy...as service should be. Timely, reasonably priced and professional.
What we have grown to expect from Reno Vulcanizing.

I was very impressed with the outstanding service I got from Joe. I was very particular on the type of tire that I got, because I wanted one that cornered well since I have a Toyota. He listened well and and went through all of the options with me so that I could choose the best one for what I could afford at the time.

Situation and options were thoroughly diagonosed and discussed with head mechanic and the owner of Reno Vulcanizing (who works there) due to the age and mileage on car. Cost was substantially below what it would have cost at the Vegas dealership before car was driven home. Went ahead with repairs as vehicle is still needed by our household. I, my wife and my adult daughters trust the staff at Reno Vulcanizing to service all of my older vehicles at various times for various needs, including brakes, flushes, oil changes, wiring, etc and stand behind their work 100% with no arguments. Even though this is always a busy place, the attitude on the part of every staff member is to provide the best customer service possible at a fair price, every time. This is one of the oldest family owned businesses in Reno-Sparks and it shows I learned about about their auto service work through a colleague at work several years ago who is a very long time, Reno resident. (Because of the name, I previously incorrectly assumed they only did tires and brake work like most and quot;tire shopsand quot;).

I dropped the car off at the start of business and the job was done in the afternoon. I had asked for the brakes to be examined and to do what needed to be done since I knew that the brakes were nearing the end of their lives. They called before starting any work to let me know how much life was left on each brake (rotor thickness), that is, not all the brakes had to be replaced, but I chose to have them all done. They were quite straightforward in their dealings, i.e., not trying to sell me more services. I'm pretty sure I could have gotten the same job done at a lower cost, but I was relying on Angie's reports for a reliable, competent, and fair mechanic.

It was under warranty and hence they charged me $30 or $35 for only their service. I have been using them consistently for lubes, oil and all the mechanical maintenance on my two cars. They have a survey within Reno that is published in the paper once a year asking all the public in the Reno's portfolio to vote for the best and they have been rated the top five in the whole variety of categories. There must be forty to fifty different categories. They have been traditionally number one or number two and my experience has supported that.
