Read your contract with these people very carefully before signing, it seems to be very slanted in their favor. I hired them on the basis of a recommendation from my realtor, who works for the same company - big mistake! They made all sorts of promises and did not follow through, causing lots of aggravation and expense. It proved to be easier to deal with the tenant myself, then I had only him to worry about! They claimed to have "experienced and inexpensive" staff available to do projects which is the big reason I hired them. The "estimates" provided by their contractor consists of a sheet of paper with a number written on it. For one job I needed to have done their "estimate" was an order of magnitude higher than the work I had done by a highly recommended (by Angies List) independent contractor (2800$ vs. 500$) I was overcharged by the same order of magnitude on a job I never even authorized them to perform. Again, be highly skeptical of any promises they make. I am now too gun-shy to ever hire a property management firm again!

We rented a house in Reno through Keller Property Management. Throughout the year we were never late with rental payments and took good care of the home. Upon moving out Keller Property Management decided that becasue the grass in the front and back yard was not green and a tree in the front yard was not alive, we killed it and it was our financial responsibility to have it replaced. Without conferring with us they used our deposit to replace the grass and tree. Above the $1,400.00 security deposit, we had also given them a $500.00 pet deposit which we knew was non refundable. They had told us at the time that the pet deposit would cover any damages caused by the dogs. The dogs lived outside the entire year, yet Keller Property Management was unwilling to use the pet deposit towards replacing the grass. We gave Keller Property Management $1,900.00 in good faith, were very good renters, and in return we feel like our money was stolen.
