The previous time our dog was there, the staff didn't notice that he was dying from a gastric torsion. We noticed it, reported it, and then the vet saved him.
This time, on the final visit (Memorial Day Weekend) they said they couldn't change his bandage unless he was looked at by the vet. They asked us to leave him, which we did. They promised to call when he was re-bandaged.
They didn't call. We called after five hours and were told that he had been and quot;ready for hoursand quot;. On picking him up, we only got a report from a tech. We learned that he wasn't given any water, and was not allowed out to pee. They would not help us load him into the truck (13 year old Golden Retriever). They also claimed never to have received anything from our local vet.
The tech kept saying, and quot;it's a holiday weekendand quot;. We learned that they have nine vets on staff, but only one was there. There were only three techs. This indicates a poorly managed practice. You would think, since they've been in business for a long time, they would figure out that people will come in on a holiday weekend.
The actual attending vet was kind, considerate, and professional, and seems to have a good reputation, but he was so overloaded that he couldn't provide good service.
