It went great. Should have purchased more keys from them at the time of service. After multiple attempts at big box stores they were able to get me the extra keys I needed.

Andy was supposeto have arrived between 4:30--5, but he actually arrived 20 minutes early. When he called to say he was at the house, we were about 5 mins away. By the time we arrived, he had already picked the lock. Accordingly, the lock was not destroyed in the process and can be re-used if we find the key. Service call was estimated at $45-$60. With a senior discount, the charge was $50.

When moving into a new home, I bought a new lock set (two keyed door knobs and two deadbolts, with matching keys) from a home improvement store. This covered the garage and rear doors, but the front door had a deadbolt I wanted to keep because it matched the door.
I took the front deadbolt core, the old key and the new key to their location in the Shopper's Square parking lot. They got the deadbolt re-keyed in about 5 minutes, and charged me $10. Excellent, quick service!

The locksmith showed up on time. He was nice. I was given replacement options for the doorknob. Replacement doorknob was rekeyed. He also checked lock on other door and put lubricant in it. The locksmith also fixed the rubber at the bottom of the door, which was above and beyond. I am very satisfied and would highly recommend Andy's Lock and Key.

The door was not unlocking and the key was just turning, I removed the locking door knob myself. I checked Angie's List and found that Andy's Lock and Key had excellent reviews so this company was chosen. They repaired the lock the same day even though it looked very busy. The lock is working perfectlynow, they did a great job and I found this company to be honest and reliable.

Very professional and took care of work in a timely manner.
The store had all necessary accessories we needed.
Can't remember costs but seemed reasonable at the time and a great alternative to purchasing new locks.

Andy was great. The only problem was that he was late, but that was due to a prior job that ended up wanting much more than they had initially requested.
We have a patio door that broke in the locked position - could not be opened. My husband had unscrewed everything and took it all apart, but still couldn't get it open. Andy got there and was able to pull it all out with just a screw driver and hammer. Once he got the broken piece out (which was all I really expected), he was able to find a replacement part in his truck and put it all back together. He was late getting there, but once he got there, it went pretty quick. He was very nice and professional. Also, the price was VERY reasonable.

I needed to get 5 doors in my house rekeyed. I just recently moved into a new house and the keys only opened the front door and wanted to be able to open the others. Every copy I would try to get made at Lowes and Home Depot wouldn't work on any of the locks and my girlfriend had to ring the doorbell everyday when she got home from work to get in as the doors automatically lock. I called Andy's Lock and Key at noon and they showed up right on time at 1:45. The guy who came out was very professional and went to work rekeying the 5 doors. It took him a while to do one of the locks as I guess they were pretty old and unusual but he finished up maybe a hour to an hour and a half later. After he left I tried the new keys in the locks and they worked in all of them but the front door. The key would turn but it wouldn't activate the latching mechanism. I called Andy's and the key guy came back a few minutes later and discovered that the key needed to be ground down at the base as it was rubbing against the face plate and this was the reason that the keys from Home Depot werent working. He didnt seem to mind that he had to come back out and even fixed one of the door jams that wasn't working without me even asking him to for free. I would definitely recommend Andy's Lock and Key, they are helpful and friendly and do a good job.

The tech tried drilling, but finally had to cut through the case-hardened steel retaining pin....all of this while laying on the ground in a freezing wind (so much wind that his tools kept blowing away).
After working for almost an hour, he only charged me $20....really surprised me how low! He got another $20 for a tip. Good guy and great work!

The young man who did the work called when he was going to be about ten minutes late. That was appreciated. When he came he looked at the door and did the work in about 15-20 minutes. The lock on the security door works great now, and my kids can turn the key now as before my youngest didn't have the strength in her hands to turn the key. It doesn't matter how cold it gets, the door can be locked.

I am very pleased with the service. The mail box lock had been broken for three weeks and the Post Office told me it would be another three weeks for them to repair. Andy's Lock came within two hours of my call. He was able to replace the broken lock and make 3 keys. Total time, about 30 minutes. I will use this company again.
