I actually got 3 men and a truck. My three movers were Devin, Ronnie and Moises and all three were fantastic - very professional, fast and efficient.
A move originally quoted at 3 hours took just under 2.5 and these guys didn't waste time. I'd used another company in the past and thought they were good until I saw these guys work and the methods they used. There was absolutely no damage to any of my stuff during the move and they were so good about wrapping and protecting my various pieces.
I believe Devin was the team leader and he is so good - personable, friendly and very professional.
Ronnie is adorable but has such a soft voice that I think he might have thought I was a bit slow-witted when he asked me a question. Comprehension isn't the problem, it's my hearing - speak up a bit for us oldsters Ronnie! :-)
And super thanks to Moises for trying to fix my annoying beeping smoke alarm. Totally not his job but he did his best to help out and I applaud him for going above and beyond in the interest of helping a customer.
When we arrived at my new home, the floor installation team (who were supposed to be gone) were finishing up, so the move-in was more complicated. The team from Two Men and A Truck handled the additional obstructions amazingly well! A few items could not be placed where I wanted them, so they put it as close as possible for me, so I wouldn't have to move too many things on my own later. They were great at checking the location labels on my boxes, and if there was any doubt, they made sure to ask me where things should go.
The entire move took less time than the original estimate, so I was able to tip the guys using the extra money I was already planning to spend on the move.

First, I met with a Joe Smith who gave me a quote after coming to my house. He said the quote would be 2 men for 8 hours and 3 men for 6. He insisted on 3 men. I told him I would prefer 2, but he said it would be to keep his guys working. That was it for the pleasantries. Within my 3 days to cancel contract, I called Joe and shared my concerns with him (husband said truck size would be inadequate, and I underestimated the amount of boxes that we would be moving and was concerned that the approximate quote if $900 was a little to expensive for what I was getting. He said that it was not problem, that he estimated high (meaning he estimated everything in the house) and that no matter what happens, I would only have to pay for the 6 hours. So I decided to move forward with his reassurances.
Day of moving came and 3 men showed up (Trevor, Alfred, Justin). Immediate upon arrival, Alfred said that there was no way they would be able to move everything in 6 hours. I told them what Joe said and Trevor said no way. that is not the way they work. So, I suggested they call Joe and talk with him. Joe got on the phone and I reminded him what he said over the phone and he said no, that is not the way they do it. I said you got to be kidding...I only continued the contract b/c of your reassurances. He said, no I was wrong and mistaken. This was too large of a term for me to be mistaken on. Trevor was about to leave. I said, okay, I will go forward with this but I will make sure to tell everyone about this and quot;bait and switchand quot; policy they have. Trevor wanted me to sign paperwork I asked him to leave it on the table and he said no, if I didn't sign the paperwork that they were leaving. He was very confrontational and rude. I was furious. I told him fine I will sign it and then we needed to move on. he then mentioned that the clock started when they arrived (which would have been about 20 to 30 minutes later) but that he'll do me a favor and start it now.
I was not happy, but what could I possibly do at this late date. I told the movers that I wanted them to move all the large pieces and that toward the end we would reaccess and that I would move the small boxes in my Jeep. Well, it seemed like my input was thrown out the window b/c they started to move some large pieces, and then they moved the small boxes. I remember telling them again to make sure to move the large pieces of furniture and again, they defied me. They were not listening and they continued to do their own thing. At the same time, Cameron, Joe's supervisor came by and I told him the story. to my surprise, he didn't offer to do anything about the rate, but suggested and quot;I didn't take it out on the guysand quot; which was BS and told me he would talk to his boss but can't promise anything. He also told me that he talked with them and told them to move the large furniture that there would probably need 2 trips and that then, we would re-access. I said okay. Turns out that I wasted 25 minutes talking with Cameron - and he wasted another 15 minutes talking with the movers - and by the way he said that they wouldn't charge me for talking to them, but that was not true. I was charged for that as well.
They stopped moving in 3 hours and said they would go to the house to unload. It took them 2.5 hours to unload, then they went back to house. I told them they would have to finish and Trevor said that it was 6 hours and that he would have to charge me for the rest. He didn't give me an estimate in writing but verbally gave me an estimate of another 4 hours to finish. I said, fine, let's just get this over with and move forward. Because they moved the boxes, I still had large furniture that I could not move by myself. I told them what I wanted moved...trevor came back with paperwork that he asked me to sign bf they got busy stating that they loaded all there was. He told me that they would move everything but could I please just get the paper work out of the way. I said okay. They proceeded to move the large pieces. I asked Trevor to make sure to move certain items, and he took them to the garage...and they sat there. When I asked the guys to make sure to take them, Alfred and Justin said that Trevor said not to take those pieces. So, this man just plainly lied to me when he told me that he would be moving everything. When I confronted him with this issue, he said there was no room for it in the truck. They could make room but the dinning room table was so fragile, blah, blah, blah. I couldn't believe my ears. I told myself, there are only a couple of hours away, just let all this experience end.
They made a second trip to the new house and unload everything. They placed so many pieces of furniture in different rooms, but I just didn't care any more, I wanted them to finish and I wanted them out of my house. I just told them to unload quickly. They brought it a buffet and said that the leg fell off. It was never an issue, so they just gave it to me to deal with it. I managed to fix it with a hammer...but this is a brand new piece of furniture that was intact until they got a hold of it. In addition, They placed the glass top to the dinning room table without the leaf and I asked where the leaf was. They said they moved it but didn't know where they put it....could I please sign the paperwork saying they were done and pay them. I said fine. Trevor already made himself in my dinning room and sat on my clean and beautiful off white arm chair. I was about livid. I finished signing the paperwork and scratched out where I had signed earlier (stating that they loaded everything) and told him that he didn't move everything that needed to be moved and that I asked to be moved. After he left, I found the leaf to the dinning room table...it turns out it was in the garage, face down and it was scratched. Yep, I couldn't believe it. Then I noticed they also scratched my dinette table.
So, to make a long story short:
1. they did not delivered what they said they would deliver (everything),
2. they didn't charge what they said they would charge (6 hours - instead 10 hours - and they still weren't done!,
3. they damaged property (dining room table, dinette, buffet).
4. they damaged the premises (nicked the walls in my hallway).
5. They were rude to the client
6. They disregarded what the client asked them to do (by moving certain property) and did what they wanted to do.
7. Underestimated how long it would take and what was need for the job
8. Management failed to remedy the issues or do anything to fix the problem. They were very unprofessional.
I shared my experience with several friends of mine who shared with us their experience. It turns out that 2 men and a truck moved our good friend from North Carolina and they said they said a horrible experience with the company as well (in their case, they ignored a piano that was in the house and told the owner that they didn't realize he owned one - yeah, right).
I just moved here into town a year ago. In the last 20 years, I've lived in 4 different states and never had an issue with a national moving company. This company was referred to me by my storage company in the lakes (Allan from All Storage). Allan couldn't believe my experience with them and informed me that he was going to share this information with the regional manager.
I recommend you seek another company to move you and stay away from 2 Men and a Truck.
One last note: Justin, one of the movers, was the only one that I don't have anything bad to say about. This man was courteous and helpful. He was a veteran and to my surprise, he showed up for work with strep throat. Poor fellow. He hustled and got things done for me. By far he was the only employee who gets a good review; everyone else, they can go as far as I am concerned.

We moves here, I contacted this worthless company about the move. I told them we have a 28' foot truck that was FULL. They scheduled two guys to move everything and this is into a 3 story home. I got a quote of about $400 to do the whole job. I called the company 4 days before the move and told them how big and full the truck was and the size of the house and did they think we might need one more person, which I would have been fine with and I told the women so on the phone. Was told no, two should be fine. OK, they do this for a living, so I ASSUME they know what they are doing.....THEY DO NOT!!! Day of move, they show up close to on time and start. I guess it's their policy that they can NOT use a dolly to move boxes, can only carry ONE at at time. OMG!!! This is a 3story home. They totally ignored how the boxes, we carefully marked as 1st, 2nd, 3rd floor and a lot just ended up in the garage for us to take up. 4hours or so, came to me and said, it's going to take another 11/2 and cost this much more....OK....I understand that....they did this 3 MORE TIMES!!!! By 5:00 I told them...that's enough....it was up to almost $1,000 and they were STILL NOT DONE. They broke our washer, when they dropped it, that cost $150 to fix....never got our couch upstairs. It was a TOTAL NIGHTMARE!!!! We ended up hiring some other guys, SO much better than Two Men and a Truck and they finished the job that Two Men and a Truck were totally unable to finish. We called the local company here, told them we were not happy, that they broke our washer and NOTHING....didn't offer to pay to fix the washer, didn't offer any kind of compensation for NOT even finishing the job....for costing more than TWICE what they quoted us for a price.... NOTHING. Just so people know.... I rarely ever write anything or complain, but these guys were really really really bad!!!! Maybe mine was an exception, but if their service and concern after the move was any indication, I don't think so. Just take this review for what it's worth.....a VERY honest, sincere and true account of OUR experience....and a BAD ONE.....with Two Men and a Truck....... BAD!!!!!
