Clowns! In April 2013, Southern installed two Maytag IQs systems in my newly built residence. One worked fine, the other would freeze solid with 110 F temperatures outside. Southern blamed Maytag for their inability to fix the 4-ton unit. After over 20 service calls throughout the summer, Joe Delucie, owner or manager of Southern, told me he would not come back unless I would pay $400 per service call --notwithstanding the fact that in NV the installer is required to service (free labor) a new unit for a full year. I didn't call back Delucie, though most other AC companies didn't want to deal with a system they had not installed. Three years later and after much sweating, I called Alaskan Heating and AC, who found that the jumper switches for refrigerant type and unit size had been not been set correctly . They fixed them, and since then that unit has been working flawlessly. The Delucie clowns had not even read the manuel before installing my unit, blaming instead the AC manufacturer...

Everything went exactly as they said it would.

Service was great. Tech was very professional. Southern NV AC has been my only choice for over a year now. I manage approx 50 rental units. Never had an issue and dont foresee one anytime soon. HIGHLY recommended!!

Southern Nevada AC showed up when they said they would. I was impressed by their professionalism. You could tell these guys were here to get a job done. They did the work right away after I got the quote. I am totally happy with the price and the work that was done. I recommend them to all my friends and family.

I live in a larger house with three different AC units original to the house, which means they're fairly old and temperamental. I've used three or four different HVAC companies for maintenance and repair, and each and every time the diagnosis was catastrophic and the repair bill was about the maximum possible (total unit replacement). After hearing this same diagnosis almost word for word from several companies each and every time there was a problem I finally got smart and decided to start getting second opinions and called Southern Nevada A/C to confirm the 'replacement' diagnosis - at a cost of about 5k - from another company. Sou. NV came out and fixed the problem for about $80.00. I've since had another unit give us problems and again Southern Nevada fixed the unit for about $200.00. I didn't even see the tech until the problem was fixed. He pulled up, went straight to the unit, identified the problem (a faulty switch), replaced the malfunctioning part and had the problem entirely taken care of before he even knocked on the front door. Southern Nevada A/C is an honest and reliable company that has saved me thousands of dollars since I started using them, simply by being honest about the problem and having competent enough techs to diagnose a problem and fix it on the spot at a very reasonable price. Many of the A/C companies around here, and I'm assuming everywhere else, have one mission when they come to your house: to get you to buy a brand new air conditioning unit and have their guys install it. Their 'technicians' are salespeople, and you don't see anyone who actually knows anything about HVAC until their group comes to install your new A/C unit. This is particularly a problem with franchised A/C companies. They have a corporate mission to maximize profits and whatever the particular situation may be at your house, you can rest assured that the cost involved to fix the problem will be as high as the A/C company can get you to pay. Southern Nevada A/C is reliable, competent, honest and they won't push you to spend thousands on new A/C systems with every visit to your house. They'll send a competent, knowledgeable and so far very courteous technician to your house, fix the problem, charge you a reasonable fee and you can rest assured that the problem will stay fixed. I can't imagine how they stay in business. In fact, the only drawback to using them is that they are so in demand in this area that it will sometimes take them a day or two to get to you, which is why I only gave them a 4 for promptness in this review. I highly - very highly - recommend these guys for all your HVAC needs in Las Vegas and the surrounding communities.
