I hired this company as Puliz Moving & Storage, through their Craig Rd., North Las Vegas address.  I had used another United Van Lines associate previously for a state-to-state move, with great results, so I called them back and got referred to this local company for an in-town move within Las Vegas. They came to the pick-up location beforehand to give me a written estimate and schedule the move day.  They wrote it up by an hourly rate with a certain number of laborers, not by volume or weight as some other shady businesses try.  There was no nonsense with tricks like "oh, your stuff is heavier than we thought it would be; we have to weigh the truck" or any attempts at upcharging or holding belongings hostage for more money at the destination. This move went smoothly.
In general, the job was very well done. Sure, there are less expensive moving companies, but you do get what you pay for. Meaning: nothing was broken, lost, or stolen. All my belongings were handled with care.  The movers were courteous and did as asked.  They arrived within the target time promised and were able to complete the job the same day.  The foreman got an extra laborer to join in and promised not to charge me any extra over the original estimate.  They came prepared with a way to pack glass tabletops and mirrors safely. No one tracked mud into my freshly cleaned new house, no one tried to smoke inside.  They put down temporary plastic sheeting over the carpeting for the load-in at the drop-off location, and were careful not to crash into walls while wheeling boxes and furniture in.
The only thing that might have detracted from the experience a tiny bit was some venting by one laborer about this being his normal day off, and why did they call him in, grr, grumble grumble. There was a little sighing about "this is heavy!" and "you want this UPSTAIRS?" with a few items.  I tried to take it in stride, since this was a moving day with some tattooed tough guys who can lift things I can't, not a dainty tea party with the Queen, so for the most part, I just stayed out of the way and let them do their job.
There was a minor miscommunication about the bill amount between the foreman and the office (due to that extra laborer called in to help), but I was able to resolve it with a single phone call to the office.  In the end, I was charged only the promised original estimate, and was very satisfied with the work. I would gladly recommend this company and hire them again myself.

As above. Terrible. Many items missing, or damaged. Unresponsive to inquiries. Because we didn't know what was missing until we began to unpack the 242 boxes, they refused responsibility even though we had purchased exstensive insurance because we didn't
report the loss and damage before they left the day of moving.

This is a wonderful company. Their price was very competitve. The original estimator was thorough and so very helpful. She even returned abd dropped off boxes for me to pack and then checked with my by phone at the end of the move to make sure all was okay. The weight was overestimated and the refund for the difference was sent very quickly. The packers were very professional and everything except one vase arrived in good condition. The dirver kept me appraised of his progress. I highly recommend them.

They subcontracted the actual moving to another group of people. Our experience with them was fine. The person that they had sent out to do the loading was fantastic. He took his time to make sure that everything was wrapped and taped. Everything was perfect. We had a bit of an issue at the time of unloading. The driver was unable to be at the place at the time that he had committed to. Other than that everything went well.

I hired United/Pulitz after obtaining an estimate from another company. I also had read reviews here on Angie's List and that was why I called them. They sent out an estimator and he was very professional and told us that we were under the minimum weight but gave us a price that was $2,100 less than the company I had called. No, that is not a typo, the other company charged by the mile. He explained the process in detail although he said he couldn't specify a delivery date until after the driver had picked up the load. A few days later I got a phone call from Kim in the office (she is wonderful to deal with!) She explained that it would be a Mayflower truck picking everything up, not to be alarmed. They sometimes help each other out (same corporate owners) They arrived on time the next week and very efficiently packed everything up. The items were delivered sooner than we expected so that was a bonus. There was some communication issues after the initial meeting and calls, but they were resolved very quickly. I was told I would hear from the driver on the estimated arrival time. I didn't hear anything as promised and the truck arrived at the destination on a Saturday and the driver told our daughter it was C.O.D. but we had already prepaid everything. It took an hour or so but it was cleared up and they brought in the delivery. To the best of my knowledge (not sure if the flat screen has been uncrated because that is a 3rd party service we opted not to pay for) there was no damage. I got a follow up call from Kim and she was very apologetic that she hadn't heard from the driver either. Their computers had been down and she didn't have record of it being delivered. I think the problem with the delivery was due to the use of the Mayflower truck/driver. I don't suspect it would have happened with the drivers they regularly use. I was very happy overall with the service and wouldn't hesitate to use them for another out of state move.

I've dealt with 4 big moving companies in my adult life, and I would put this company first by a long-shot. I would not hesitate to use them again for anything.

The salesperson was the most responsive to my concerns and helped me make a couple of decisions (insurance, yes) and made phone calls on the spot to figure out logistics (other firms would have left that to a second contact). The men who loaded it were very careful and even though it had to wait for a couple of days in their warehouse, it arrived in good condition.

We originally planned to use Penske and do the move ourselves (small move of items into a summer home). But as fuel charges began rising, we relooked what we were moving and scaled back. We then obtained estimated from several nationwide movers and decided on United/Puliz as in the end, the difference was only $300. We saved ourselves the stress of loading the furniture/household goods ourselves, driving in traffic and bad weather, etc., for a mere $300. The move was excellent and the driver kept us informed along the way where he was and when to expect him to deliver. And I mean he delivered right on time!!!! Excellent job.

We did do a lot of this work ourselves but, they did help out a lot. They were not very expensive. They did charge by the hour and it did not take them very long to do what they had to do. I would say that they were with us about three hours or so. During the move, they were very nice and very appreciative. They did not break a thing and I am very pleased with their work. This was a small move but we have used them in the past to move us across country and we have also been pleased with that as well.

- WE LEFT LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, MAY 16, FOR TEXAS. THEY INSISTED THAT WE MUST BE IN TEXAS BY MAY 20 TO RECEIVE THE DELIVERY. - ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 17, WE CALLED MS. SARAH HOLDER AT PULIZ. SHE WAS UNAWARE THAT THE PICK-UP WAS MADE WITH A LOCAL TRUCK. MS. HOLDER SAID THEY MIGHT MAKE THE MAY 22 DATE WHICH WAS THE LATEST COMMITTED DELIVERY DATE. LATER SHE CALLED BACK AND SAID THEY WOULD DELIVER BY MAY 26. - ON THURSDAY, MAY 18, MR. JERRY BRODINE WAS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND SAID THAT DELIVERY NOW COULD NOT OCCUR BEFORE MAY 26. WE CONTINUED IN GOOD FAITH TO WORK WITH THEM TO SECURE DELIVERY. LAS VEGAS IS HOT IN MAY AND OUR BELONGINGS WERE SUBJECTED TO THAT HEAT IN A SEALED VAN INSTEAD OF BEING ON THE ROAD TO TEXAS. THE ACTUAL DELIVERY OCCURRED ON MONDAY, MAY 29, 2006, 16 DAYS AFTER PICK-UP.

United Van Lines did a pretty good job moving us. They broke a couple of things, but they reimbursed us for the broken items with no problems. I was very satisfied with this company and I would recommend them to others. I couldn't remember what they charged us.

The work was completed on schedule and they stuck to their original estimate. They didn't break anything and whatever needed padding was properly protected. We feel they did a professional job.

On a move of that distance, we were surprised how well it went. The furniture, some of it very valuable to us, was not damaged at all. They used extra padding and everyone seemed to be working well together. The trip took nine hours in transit and another two to unload and organize. Their attitude was excellent and it was finished quickly for such a long move.

I was in the U.S military for twenty two years, and have been forced to move at least a half dozen times. This was the best move we have had. There was very little minor damage, the behavior of the movers was professional, polite, and the move was relatively timely, considering the distance. They did a very good job, and if we have to move again, I hope we can use United.

The movers arrived at the destination one hour early. After unloading the trucks, they helped us arrange everything in our new house. They were well-behaved and they followed our instructions, even though I'm sure they were exhausted form the cross country trip. We did not find any serious damage to our belongings, they did a good job.
