Richard Staub, the owner, is, as always, prompt, professional, courteous, and reliable. He checked both 2 1/2 ton units and found no problems. These are the Trane units that we bought from Hi-Lo in 2006. They have been, and continue to be, excellent.

No problems whatsoever. What is truly remarkable about our experience with Hi-Lo is Richard's integrity and commitment to his products and service. He installed our two 2 1/2 ton Trane HVAC units in 2006. As part of our contract with Hi-Lo, Richard included two complimentary future tune-ups. Since we've had absolutely no problems with the units, we've been quite lax in scheduling inspections/tune-ups. In fact, up until today, we had only had one, which Richard performed in 2008. In 2010, Richard came out for a service call, after a different contractor, who was relocating our interior thermostat, shorted out our system. At that time, Richard replaced the thermostat and corrected the problem (for a total cost of $249, covering all parts and two visits to the house). Since the work Richard performed then was a service call and not an inspection/tune-up per se, we had never taken advantage of our originally contracted second complimentary inspection. When my husband called last week to request the second tune-up, EIGHT years after the original contract was executed, Richard honored the request without any problem. That fact alone is a tribute to the way Richard operates his business: he offers excellent products, exceptional service, and the willingness and ability to stand behind his work for the long run.

We purchased a home in Las Vegas last year and are new to the area and have relied heavily on Angie's List to find the contractors to ready our home for the long distance move. We needed someone to look at our fire place, both fireplaces as it turned out for the pilot light and the ignition switch. I called one day, and they came out the next morning, spotted the problems in both instances, fixed it all for the charge of a house call. Amazing!!! I was really impressed with the promptness, the professionalism and his level of experience that "zeroed" right in on the problem. I've called them twice now, and he is on my "Home Contractors" list--permanently!!!!!

They were fantastic. Their office personnel were very helpful and friendly. They came when they said they would. They were honest and good.

I would definitely recommend Richard and Hi-Lo Air for anyone considering a new system. It is working great, and I can finally set the thermostat myself!

It's been almost 3 1/2 years since we had this work done, so I don't remember every detail of the process from start to finish, but I do know that we're very happy with our decision. The units have worked wonderfully. We've had Richard (Staubs, the owner) come out for one tune-up since the units were installed (we're due for another), and we've had no problems whatsoever. At the time that we had these units installed, we were taking advantage of a significant rebate (@ $1,100, I believe) that was available through Nevada Power for upgrading to more energy efficient units. We solicited three bids for the job and generally liked all three bidders. It was a little difficult to compare bids, because each company offered different manufacturers' products and not all units had the same SEER rating. In the end, we went with Hi-Lo Air even though the company's bid was higher than some of the other bids we received. We did this because, in our estimation, Hi-Lo Air was giving us the most energy efficieny and the best product--Trane--for our money. In addition, Richard had a lot of experience, accolades from others in his profession and from the Better Business Bureau, and a very down-to-earth, no hard-sell approach. We felt as if he was giving us a straight story and we would be happy with the results. We were right. I would highly recommend his services.

I got about two thousand dollars back in rebates for this project so I was happy. The work was done very nicely and accurately. I felt like a satisfied customer at the end of the day. I would highly recommend this company to others. They get the job done right.
