least twice a month. The girl who cleaned my house moved and for a while I was sent several
different cleaners. All were fine but one. I called Carol and asked that she never send her again.
It has been a year since I have had the cleaning service. We have been renovating our home and needed
a thorough cleaning due to construction dust. I requested 2 cleaners for 4 hours each. Unfortunately The same woman
I had requested to not come again was one of the 2 cleaners. She started on the downstairs which consisted of a half bath, kitchen,
family room, living room and dining room. Dusting and floor cleaning was all that was required in all but kitchen and bath. The second girl arrived 1 hour later due to an accident on freeway. She started upstairs. She cleaned 2 full baths, 3 bedrooms and a large family room. The second cleaner completed everything in 2.5 hours and came downstairs to find that Kathy (other cleaner)
had only cleaned the half bath and half the kitchen. When her 4 hours were up I asked Kathy to leave as I could not afford to pay her more than 4 hours. I called Carol King and asked to keep the second cleaner for an extra hour to complete what Kathy had not done. I tried to explain to Carol how bad a job Kathy had done. I asked her to come and see it. Instead of trying to understand what I was telling her she argued that Kathy was her best cleaner. She said she was supervisor material. Carol made me feel like a liar.
I was not looking for something free or discounted. I simply wanted the job I was paying for be correct. I took pictures of several of the areas Kathy had cleaned to show Carol. I even explained how Kathy was complaining about another customer and how disgusting her house was. She gave all kinds of personal details. The thought of her detailing the issues of my home to other people made me feel gross. I was accused of not liking this Kathy so that is why I was complaining. I will never use
Carol Kings Cleaners again. Carol had an opportunity to make things right but treated me as a liar instead. Poor business practices.

They come every two weeks. They vacuum the entire house rooms and baseboards. Dust and polish the furniture. Vacuum and mop the tile in the bathrooms, clean the bowl, and vacuum the bath rugs. The kitchen just sparkles. I have a large and open spaced floor plan. They wash my slide door inside and out (it's between the kitchen and the family room) they wash the two side windows inside and out. The kitchen is vacuumed then the floor washed. All of the cabinets, and countertops are cleaned as well as appliances (stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, sink). The rugs in they kitchen were so clean I didn't recognize them.
The same two ladies come every other week and I am always happy with the result.

How was it handled by Carol you ask? Well she e-mailed us to say she hoped it went well. I called her rather than e-mail to explain how UNHAPPY we were. She offered to have someone come out and fix it but we explained that we had already fixed it because we were pressed for time. She told me twice that I you should have called her essentially putting the responsibility on me. I told her that since it was a Sunday I did not think she would be available to have someone rectify the situation. Then she told me that the house keeper had called her to tell her that we were upset with the job . I was shocked t hear that SHE KNEW HOW BADLY IT WENT AND THAT SHE SHE HAD NOT CALLED US! So after I pointed out that she was remiss not to call she gave me one hour (of the four that I was charged) of cleaning for free. She said she hoped we would give her agency a second chance. Why would we do that when there are others out there who will do a better job?
Carol, the owner, is extremely accommodating in making appointments and scheduling.
Cathy that did the work is like a little ball of fire. She starts working and never stops while she's there. She goes above and beyond and pays attention to detail.
I highly recommend them. They have excellent customer service.
"We are sorry to lose you as a customer. Since we discussed our policy with you before we provided the service we do not know why you are unhappy. It is our policy not to clean breakable items unless you agree that we are not responsible for accidental damages to items such as dishes, vases, crystal, art work, electronics, laundry etc.. Unfortunately accidents are part of life. We are insured for major damages but if we submit to many claims our insurance may be cancellled or our premiums will increase."
OK, at least it wasn't all bad. My carpet was cleaned, and it was cleaned in a timely manner. The carpet looks better now than it did on Friday...
And I wish my story could end there, but there's more. Before the "technician" left, I noticed my internet connection (I have home wifi) was off. When I stepped outside my room, I noticed nothing in my living room was working, then I saw that my microwave and refrigerator had shut off. I then found out that while this guy was working on my carpet, the power was knocked out of half my home, including my air conditioner! I then had to call the company that installed our electrical circuit breakers to figure out how to restore power to my living room and kitchen. That succeeded on Saturday, but I still had no air conditioner. I ultimately had to call an A/C specialist (and a review on him is coming soon!) just to check my A/C, confirm it's OK, and help me redo the electrical wiring to restore my central air.
I sent them an email about this earlier tonight, but they seem to be brushing this off. If you order carpet cleaning from this service, check to see where they're plugging in. And don't be surprised if your house gets insulted.
"Hi Member, We are sorry you were not satisfied with your service. We send one cleaner for small jobs and 2 cleaners for large jobs. If we were overbooked or short staffed that day, then we may have had only one maid left to send. The cost is the same for 2 maids for 3 hours as 1 maid for 6 hours. We will be happy to send 2 maids if you decide to use our service again. Thank You, Carol Kings Cleaning Co LLC"
