Vegas Vacuum and Sewing

I took my upright Hoover to the shop, and described the problem I was having with it. Ron immediately opened it up, saw that the belt needed replacing, and put in a new one. Then he tested the vacuum to make sure it worked properly. The price was right--only $7.50, and I was out of there in about 5 minutes. Perfect!

I brought in my steam cleaner and asked them if they would be able to fix it as it was no longer suctioning up much water when I cleaned the carpet.  They advised that they would look at it and call me with an estimate in a couple days.  They called me the very next day and said that all my machine required was a good cleaning and it would cost $70.  I told them to go ahead and clean it.  They called two days later to say it was ready.  I picked it up and tried to use it the same day.  It still did not suction well so I called to complain.  I was told the person that worked on my machine was not at work that day and given a different phone number to call him personally. When I did talk to the person who worked on my machine, he told me to bring it back in in a few days when he would be at work and he would look at it.  When I returned to the store the technician looked at the machine.  He tried to run it on some carpet at the store and it did not pick up well so he got a large glass of water and poured it on the floor and ran the machine over it.  He spent 3 minutes vacuuming up that 1 square foot of carpet and said it was suctioning fine.  I told him I did not intend to run the machine over each square foot of the carpet 15 times as he did.  He told me to take it home and try again as he felt it was fine.  At the rate he expects me to clean my carpet it would take 5 hours to clean one bedroom of carpet.  The machine is not fixed and they do not care.
