 + -1 moreTwo gentlemen arrived at my home, I explained the scope of the work and they asked me to walk room to room with smoke detectors sounding to make sure I could hear each one. There were two of them, not sure why they asked me to to this. They wrote an estimate for work but were able to fix the problem within minutes without much effort. They still charged the full estimate, which was excessive to begin with. I requested an itemized statement of the work performed at my home to submit to insurance. I tried contacting various people at the company to discuss the poor service, and excessive charges and to get a readable statement. The CSR person was not helpful and was acting as a screen for upper management. I would not recommend this company to anyone. After my calls to the home office I do not think my experience is an isolated incident.
Description of Work: Needed an electrician to inspect for a possible short in the smoke alarm system and ceiling fan that were both malfunctioning.

 + -1 moreWe called in electricians because we were afraid our house would burn. They left us for two weeks with an open neutral from the telephone pole, before finally sending out someone who could diagnose the problem. In the end, nothing they touched was right or to code. Complaints to the contractors board did almost nothing. The only thing that would have saved me this experience would have been knowing enough about electrical work that I wouldn't have needed to call them (I do now). Save yourself the headache. FYI: They use referral companies to route you to them via the yellow pages. Just because you aren't choosing their add doesn't mean they won't be the ones showing up.
Description of Work: Most electronic devices in home were fried by incorrect current. We were getting current in the shower. Very concerned that the house would burn. The workers sent out initially did a few hours of busywork unrelated to the problem, assured us it was fixed, and left me to get shocked in the shower again the next morning. Long story short, they never tested the power on the meter box. The problem was a dangling wire on the telephone pole. The work that was done was unnecessary and had to be redone because it messed up previously working wiring. Every time another electrician would come from the company, it made things worse. Of course, no refunds. Nevada Power fixed the problem and paid for the ruined electronics. I don't believe the first two workers sent out were actually electricians. It was too easy of a problem for a professional to diagnose.

 + -1 moreI called this company and they were able to come the next morning. I was a little concerned because they were able to come out so quickly. But the person that came used his tool and knew exactly what needed to be done. He replaced a few wires. He was very fast and counseled me on cleaning my electrical box. He checked it to make sure it was working. They also have a warranty and wrote out a job description. I was pleasant with the workmanship of the tech and the company, it was very professional. This is excellent service.
Description of Work: There were 3 outlets on one wall that were not working.
