Tree Trimming
Description of Work: My neighbor had some large overgrown oleanders and palm trees that needed trimming between our properties. I recommended Treepro based on another neighbor’s suggestion. I am now very sorry for the recommendation. Treepro carelessly dropped branches onto my plants, furniture and statuary. They neglected to move or cover anything causing lots of damage. They also dumped debris on another neighbor’s lot. It’s clear, Ron does not supervise his jobs or care when they mess up. He does not understand basic customer service, does not take accountability for his mistakes, and tries to place the blame on the consumer. His response to my complaint is that I should have moved my property myself. Outrageous behavior considering he had no right to be on my property in the first place. Why should I be stuck with this mess?

Couldn't be better!
Description of Work: 14 Mexican Palms and 2 large Cannery Palms trimmed in one day! The owner, Ron, was so helpful in arranging for our Palms to be trimmed just 3 days after calling for a scheduled time! The crew kept our pool sparkling throughout it all and the cleanup very thorough. Being able to communicate with Ron via text message was a breeze and he was always super prompt in responding!

The job was done efficienty and timely. They even trimmed some landscape bushes & brought in an extra man to get the job done on time at no extra charge. The owner was the one who came out and I dealt with him directly. Very knowledgeable. Very professional. They cleaned up nicely after themselves & the yard looked great.

They completed my estimate and it did require a little bit of extra cost but I was ok with it. He told me he'd get back to me about scheduling and I never heard anything. I finally spoke to him and we made an appointment for two weeks ago. They missed that appointment and never bother to call me to tell me they couldn't make it. We rescheduled for this week and they failed to show up to the appointment too so I text him to find out if they were coming and was told they were at the dump with a full truck and would be late. An hour went by and they still didn't show up. I text him again to see if they were coming and he said they were still running about an hour late. At that point I told them to forget it since I couldn't wait any longer for them to arrive.

Response from TreePro
Initial call from customer 11/26. Bid scheduled and completed 12/1. As per customer request work to be done on a Friday or Saturday per their schedule. Week of 12/1 to 12/5 was already booked, so the job was scheduled for the next Friday, 12/12. At the time of scheduling customer expressed concern that Friday was forecast for Rain. I explained we always schedule and see what happens. Rain in Vegas sometimes rains for short period and then blows over, or rains in some parts of town and not others. That is what happened Friday 12/12. We had 2 tree crews working in Henderson ( this customers part of town) and a tree crew and a landscape crew working in the North part of town. This customer was scheduled the second job of two jobs for the day. The Two crews in Henderson got a lot of rain and had to stop work mid day. The other 2 crews in a different part of town got no rain and worked a full day and finished all of their jobs. And that is why we schedule even when rain is forecast. The customer was obviously aware that it was raining at their house and obviously we would not be doing the work in the rain. Correct, we did not call to cancel as I was busy trying to get other stuff done and did not think to stop and call them. I know their preferred day is Friday and that we would just reschedule for the next Friday. The customer called me before I had a chance to call them and tell them of the reschedule date. I informed her that I would schedule them to be the first job of the day Friday 12/19. 12/17 & 12/18 we also received some rain and we were a little behind with dumping our trailers of debris (we have 6 trailers and they were all full by Thursday night. Friday 12/19 I sent the crew that was scheduled to do this job to go to get gas in the morning and then go to the dump. The public transfer dump station is on the opposite side of town from this job at I-15 & Cheyenne. 20 miles away from this job. The dump is first come first serve. Only a few trucks fit in the area where the dumping is done. Crews need to wait in line until other trucks have cleared out of that area before they can dump. Depending on how many companies show up at the same time, that wait can be between 15 minutes to an hour and a half. I was in contact via text informing them of the situation. After the final Eta give to the customer I got a text that told me to never mind. They would call Angie's list for a refund. I offered instead of calling Angie's that I would be willing to give them a $200.00 refund. They had paid $99.00 to Angie's to receive $200.00 worth of tree work and I thought that they should at least get their $200.00 that they could use to hire another tree company to complete the work. I assume Angie's would have only refunded their $99.00. Their response via text was " OK " And now I see this review. Which is Fairly accurate, but not complete. Do to the limited number of days available per their schedule and the large response from Angie's Big Deal (more than 20 jobs that came in at the same time along with our regular work from other sources and previously scheduled prior to the Angie's email deal being sent out we are stretched thin and are trying to do a good job for all the customers. This job got bungled do to circumstance, as I have scheduled and completed about 10 of the other Angie's big deal jobs and all of those customers were completely satisfied with what we did for them. I hope they will also share their experience here on Angie's list. They all told me they would. I can understand this customer being upset, but now you have read what happened on our side. I believe an "F" (lol) is out of line. A "C or D" was not an option?

I would not hesitate to hire Ron and his guys again. They did a great job, despite a few glitches. They worked very hard to complete the project in the time period they were given. The desert plants are all happy and blooming and the pathway and river made a beautiful addition. Many thanks to Ron and his guys. They were professional, clean and hard working. Will hire them again to prune my palm trees soon.
