they had to order the part and once they r cried the part they scheduled the appointment and completed the work as promised
NOT every plumber knows how to service a tankless water heater, even though they say they can. This company knows what they are doing. I will definitely have them back next year to do the annual maintenance.
Initially called Sears. Their initial price was about the same as what we paid with TWHM. However when the Sear?s contractor (third party) showed up he wanted to charge an extra $450 for various things that were ?needed? or ?highly recommended?. After checking this contractors reviews found out they are notorious for up charging. We promptly called Sears and cancelled the order. I then checked Angie?s list (should have done this to begin with) and found a couple of service providers with great reviews. The first one I called could not get out there until next week, so then called The Water Heater Man. Highly recommend TWHM and would definitely use again.
Randy is awesome. Like others have said in reviews, the crew shows up and they know what to do. I wish I could attach a picture of my beautiful new system. Before: exploded old tank on a rotten stand taking up the whole corner of my garage. And an old leaking salt system.
After, Wall mounted hot water system, completely open floor, wall mounted filter. Big new easy to work shut off valve. One switch, and the system is OFF, very easy.
What I want to stress, when I asked for a good system, I got it. Randy got the permits, got the inspector out, got the gas company out, and made sure it all worked. Like other reviewers stated, there is always some last drip leak...and Junior didn't leave until it was perfectly fixed. Again, a bad pipe.
But they went through the whole house, and really FIXED my plumbing. New main shut off valve, new pressure regulator (installed wrong from the builder!) New shower valves, and I have a sink in my garage now. Finally, we can take strong showers, and use the dishwasher at the same time.
I know 8000 is a lot for a hot water heater, but they fixed everything!
Agreed by phone to take either a credit card or personal check to pay for services
I offered to have credit card authorized over the phone, But contractor said this would be handled
by Technician. I also asked how over the phone they knew the system would replaced and not
repaired. I also asked what date the service warranty on the last installed unit had expired
Water Heater Was installed and technician claimed my credit card was no good, and that he could not
take a check - Cash Only ... Later that day I called my credit card company and found the card was good, and no charges
had been submitted that day by anyone.
Five days later the owner of the Water Heater Man called apologizing that he had not renewed his contract with
the credit card processing company, and did not know why his technician had not accepted a personal check
drawn on a local las vegas bank
It is my belief that this contractor did not want his fees discounted by a credit card company, and hires independent
technicians who prefer cash. I also am concerned that the water heater which is not covered by my insurance keeps
running into problems every few years. Are these units new or are they factory refurbished.
Also if a unit is running out of service warranty days, why doesnt the company that installs the unit inform you to have
a service call or offer an extended warranty.
Water Heaters are not covered by most homeowner policies just the damage they cause.
