This company installed the roof on our new home back in 2002. At the time, things went very well. We were able to work with their office staff well, as well as their field personnel. We had a deadline to meet with our roof installation, and when the roof tiles had not been ordered by us in time, they worked very hard with us to get us the tiles we needed in time, and keep us on schedule. They were a pleasure to work with during the time we were building our new home.

The estimator responded in a timely manor and provided a detailed estimate of the charges and the scope of work. Then the waiting started. We were not placed on the schedule and informed of the start date for a month. When we called the office we were connected to a rude individual who stated (falsely) that we had been told that it would be 4 to 6 weeks before we would be informed of the start of work date. The were not slow cashing our $650 deposit check, but calling to ask about a start date upset them.On the other side; the crew who performed the work arrived promptly when they said they would and performed all aspects of the repair in a professional fashion. On completion, they reviewed all the work with me explaining the steps they had taken and advised me of the overall condition of the rest of the roof. I was very pleased with the repairs and would not hesitate to recommend the company with the provision that you can stand the wait for job to begin.

It was a little expensive. When we built our house it was up to code but the codes changed. I got this company on the advice of a friend. It's a large house and this wasn't 100% around the house but wherever the bird stop hit the fascia board, that's where they had to do it. I thought they did a really good job and they cleaned up. I wouldn't recommend them if I wasn't happy. They told us that if I ever have another leak to call them because they would keep it in their records and they would know they didn't have to do those bottom three layers again.

This review is for the company named: The Original Roofing Company at 4515 Copper Sage St. Las Vegas,NV @ 702-798-6757. I called them because I had a roof leak which was damaging an interior wall of the home. On the day they were supposed to come over to do the estimate a guy called about an hour before the appointment time to tell me he was double booked and therefore would not be able to make it. The appointment was then rescheduled. After the estimate was finally done at the second appointment, I faxed back the estimate a couple days later so that they could do the work. I did not hear from them for about a month. After about 2 weeks after faxing the estimate, I started leaving messages asking for them to atleast let me know if they still wanted to do the work because it kept raining which caused alot more damage to the interior part of the wall of the house not to mention the further damege on the roof that was unnecassary had they come to do the job shortly after faxing the estimate which is what they told me would happen. My final message, which was the 9th message I left, stated that they should not send anyone to my house. A couple days after that message, they trespassed on my property to supposedly do the job except they only did about 10 % of the work they had written on the estimate,but the guy they suipposedly sent should not have been there anyway. The manager of the company, Mike Collins, stated he never got any of my messages however he stated he was calling about a message I had left about a complaint (which he later admitted was the one stating that they are fired and not to send anyone over).. I told him that I was not aware of any work being done but that I would look at the roof to see because Mike Collins claimed he got the message 2 days after I left it on there voicemail and he claimed he sent a guy out prior to receiving the message. He was very insistent on the phone that he was coming over to talk to me and that he wanted to make things right and quot;because the busines never did anything like this in 49 years of businessand quot;. He came over to the house and I told him everything that happened. Instead of apologizing he went to where I led him which was the upper balcomy and without my permission lifted a few tiles on the roof and said and quot;that is new paper they put on so the job is doneand quot; and proceeded to take a picture of the and quot;new paperand quot; with his cell phone camera. I never said I would not pay the bill but he apparently assumed that b/c when I asked him what he is going to do about all this, instead of an apology or anything else that would have made some resemblence of sense, Mike Collins said he would take me to civil court to get the money owed to them. Not only did the worker who supposedly changed the paper do nothing else, but the replacement of the broken tiles that was mentioned on the estimate as well as several other things listed on the estimate were never done and the estimate did not mention anything about paper at all. I called him back to let him know that I would put my experience on Angies List so as to hopefully save someone the stress and the further damage to the wall and roof that they would likely encounter if they used this company. Mike Collins said at the house in regards to my complaint that none of my calls were returned for the following reason: and quot;Do you know how busy we are during the rainy season and you expect a call when we have all this work?and quot; I could not believe my ears. Now I have to hire a good roofing company to fix the roof which will likely cost more money then I originally had to for fixing the roof as well as the extra money I will have to spend due to the extra damage caused to the interior wall due to this companys procrastination as well as not letting me know that they had no interest in doing the work until a month later when it would be more convenient for them.

The employees arrived on time. The alteration was done with no delays or goofing off. The men also sealed the cracks in the top cinder blocks of the chimney. There was no charge for this extra service. They asked me for information if there was any question about what I wanted done. When they were finished I was asked to come up onto the roof and inspect the repair. It was perfect and the roof looked great. The employees were very curteous the entire time.

The Roof Company was not nice people to work with at all. They did not show up for work as expected if at all. The crew did attempt to clean up but not well and they did lower the price for the inconvenience. They finally finished my roof and it doesn't leak, however I will never use them again.
