SWATCH

My SWATCH watch was malfunctioning and after I called this store in preparation to ask, whether they performed repairs, which they answered in the positive, I visited it to have the watch looked at. A younger store employee immediately approached me. I tried to explain my problem with the watch to him and suggested that the cause might be it's battery. Before I could even finish my sentence the employee rudely interrupted me to "inform" me that I would "have to pay for the battery anyway even if it was not the battery that causes the watch to malfunction. This statement immediately made me uncomfortable since I was not even given time to establish a procedure with the store. From the tone of voice the employee used, I had to conclude, that my approach to first diagnose the problem and then fix it, was not welcome with this employee or this store. He even mocked my using the word "diagnosis". A second employee approached, and I believe, noticed his colleagues rudeness and momentarily took over to replace the battery. Unfortunately, he then left me with the first employee to finish the transaction still maintaining his rude tone with me which kept me suspended in discomfort for the whole visit! When I asked him, whether it was possible to do something about the scratched lens of my watch, I was again mocked when I inquired, whether this lens was made of glass or plexi. He then proceeded to polish the lens and when I noticed an area that needed a little more attention, I was rewarded with another unprofessional remark, pointing out, that "they do this for free and what else would I want next". I would like to state that my demeanor through this whole scene remained composed and friendly. Lucky for me, those batteries last a long time.
