"We are sorry for any misunderstanding about how we schedule for repairs, they are done all the time, it all depends upon the request when we will call to set up the repair with our repairman. The installations are done with another crew. We do know that the polyurethane foam filling doesn't shrink, Due to being on a busy street, it could be nosier now with more traffic since 2009 and sound has been known to come through the walls. We were willing to come out, but would have to charge per the contract on the warranty on labor and parts due to being six years old."

Bought a townhome with Rolladen Shutters already installed, but they were old, from 1999. Four of the shutters would not close. Rolladen came out, and saw the age of the units, and said the parts were not available anymore. I later received a call from them that they had another way to repair them. It was a little pricey, but I now have fully functioning units. They were professional, and I'm pleased with the service I received.

We are very happy with our shutters but I must be honest and say that they are very expensive - the reason we had to do the house in 3 sections over 3 years - and there always seems to be a long wait between the time you order the shutters and when they are actually installed. For the most part their installers are professional, knowledgeable and always clean up after themselves. One thing I didn't like was the installer that kept wanting to use my bathroom, but that's really just a small issue, and sometimes one "just has to go." We love the finished product and definitely feel it is worth the long wait for installation.

The install went fine.
Whenever service was needed, they failed to deliver.
Service is a joke!
I spent $16000 to do my entire home.
First off, they installed a shutter wrong. I mean it was a wrong assembly and they started showing rubbing marks. Also two of our patio doors are very long, 12ft. The first patio assembly actually fell off last year causing a major short in my electric panel. The second patio door is to the master bedroom, this is the one we had a problem with this time. For me its an important one as it can be seen from the street below whether it is shut or not.
When asked to fix it, they gave me an appointment which was a week later. The tech came in with no tools or supplies, tried to do a mickey mouse job on the shutter that had the wrong assembly . Only, when I refused to accept that job and asked him to call his supervisor. The supervisor asked the tech if it was still under warranty? It was.
Warranty or not, if you know you did a bad construction, you should replace it period.
That shutter has had the assembly replaced and now opens and closes without leaving marks or rubbing. But still my bedroom patio still doesn't close.
So now, the another technician comes out with no parts again. The battery is replaced in the bedroom shutter and the replacement does not make it operational. Now 10 days have passed and my shutter still doesn't work.
So, don't be a fool like me and spend $16k for a thing that doesn't work. Can't tell what is worse. The Obamacare or Rolladen shutters

I had a broken shutter and needed some other maintenance. It was very difficult to talk to a person. Then they would not return calls. They could not schedule a time to come out because they didn't know how long it was going to take to finish the calls they were on. Fair enough. But then no follow through. Finally, after I had to get stern, did they finally scheduled a tech to come out. Once that happened everything was fine and the tech did a fine job. I do fear if I need to call Roladen again, it could be weeks before I can reach someone to come out.

Generally, I am pleased with how the project turned out. Folks showed up when they said they would, and the entire project took about 57 days from the day I signed the order (Jan 30, 2014) until installation was complete (Mar 27, 2014). I've had previous experience with Rolladen shutters from time I spent overseas in Germany so I pretty much knew what to expect. The motor-driven and manual, crank-operated shutters work just fine. However, I do have issues with the manual, strap-operated units, which seem much more fragile in operation from what I remember of their German-made counterparts and appear prone to malfunction ( in my case, locking up in the open position--it's happened twice so far with the same unit, on the day of installation and five days later). Somehow, I expected the manual units to be much hardier than what they are...the installers cautioned me to treat them gently and not to pull or lower the straps too quickly when opening and closing the shutters or the mechanism will lock up, which they do even when I'm careful. I would have expected the manufacturer to come up with a remedy to this known weakness in the operating mechanism by now, which is why I rated "Quality" with a"C" and "Responsiveness" with a "B".

After the painters had power washed the exterior, preparing for paint, the Rolladen shutter would not close. The painting project would be held up if the rolling shutter was not functional. i called Rolladen Rolling Shutters, they did the initial installation 8 years ago. I explained the problem and that this would effect the completion of the paint work. They said they would check work load and try to work me in. A couple of hours later they called and within 30 minutes had a repair person on sight. The repair was completed and not as bad as our panic !!.
This company has been good in the past and I am glad to see that they haven't changed.

Everyone at the company were very nice. Although it is very expensive, the quality seems to be excellent. I still have 8 more windows to do and will definitely use the same company, although I may not install the motors on the smaller windows in order to save some money. I feel very secure and confident that no one will be able to break in. Overall, I would recommend this company.

It was good. It was fast. They had stuff all over the ground from cutting the shutters and they cleaned up. We are very happy with the shutters. The price was high.

When the decision is made to add the Rolladen shutters to a home or business a lady from the company (Bianca) comes to the house or building and looks at the windows and/or doors and discusses the choice, application, installation etc. Later a man from the company comes out to measure the windows selected for shutters. Then the shutters are made to fit each window back at the company. When the product is made an appointment is made for installation and the shutters are delivered to the home or building.
Jason Knowlton and Craig Jensen were the 2 installers at my home. They were very nice and did a beautiful job of installing shutters at four windows at my home. The men worked extremely skillfully taking care not to cause any damage to the wall or inside window. After the installation was completed the men asked me to operate each window shutter in their presence. Each time it worked as it was meant to work.

Helen, the salesperson, was professional and wanted to make sure she gave me information that would fit my needs for my home - personalize the installation. Rita, in the office, set up appts. and also followed up. She was always pleasant and returned my calls. Bob insured that the switches were where I wanted them, and the crew was professional and showed up when they said they would. They did an excelent job.
I did have a couple of issues that I wanted resolved. Bob came down and agreed that these issues needed correction. Terry, who does repairs was amazingly empatheic, professional and just did the job he said he'd do. A real pro.
Overall, I am very very happy with my Rolladens, with the company, and with the crew and staff.
I know Roladens are expensive, but I think they are worth every penny.

Their product is inferior and their personnel in the office rude and unresponsive.
Their installation is bad. There is peeling stucco because of their installation.
I have emailed them four times without a reply.
No one returns calls. It's like they got their money and now they don't want to hear from me.
Their repairman doesn't know what he is doing. He had no clue why the light is coming in. It will only get worse
as the material, like velcro-like, wears out from the rollers, I am told, by another company. I have to replace it.
They don't stand behind their product or installation.

We did correct the problems and at a later time she was no longer satisfied and when the owner asked to come out and and assess the situation, she refused to allow her to come out.We assumed she was just complaining and didn't want anything adjusted."

Our overall experience with Rolladen Rolling Shutters from initial contact through estimating, scheduling and installation was excellent. The staff was extremely knowledgeable, courteous and timely. Several installation challenges were easily overcome due to the broad experience of the installation crew. The job site was kept orderly and clean throughout the installation. The work would have been completed in two days; however, we asked to postpone installation of the last three shutters until we could have the calcium etched glass replaced. That delayed completion for two weeks and caused the crew to have to return to complete the job, which they did with no problem.

Rolladen scheduled an appointment for the following week (the soonest that they could schedule) on a Friday afternoon between 2 and 4 o'clock. We waited till 3:45, and nobody showed up. I called Rolladen, and nobody answered. The following monday we called, and they scheduled another appointment, and the guy showed up and fixed it. They never apologized or explained why the first person didn't show up. Their attitude was of a ''take it or leave it'' nature. The repair man that did show up the second time was very nice and competent.

Rolladen Rolling Shutters of Las Vegas only took about a week to order and install my security door. I knew what I was looking for and in what price range I wanted and the estimate they gave me met almost exactly. I felt a lot safer after they installed this security door. It was an electric roll down one, and I haven't had any mishaps or problems since they put it in.

Rolladen did a very nice job. I love the fact that when I wake up in the morning, it still looks as if it was dark out. They did a very good job with the shutters. However, they are very expensive. I believe I paid about $1,500.00 per window. Of course, that is why I only got my bedroom windows done. Everything is fine with the shutters. I love them and if their prices go down a little, I will probably call them to do the rest of the house.

Rolladen Shutters of Rolling Las Vegas did a fantastic job with our shades. They were fast, polite, and very hard working. Everything fit just like it was suppose to. All the cuts were straight and I just loved their work. I was 100% satisfied and I would recommend them to everyone.
